Now coming to the Contract, it is the only thing that shows her rebellion.

But why did Murtasim sign it? If Murtasim had refused to sign, what could Meerab do after that. Refuse to marry Murtasim? How? Tell the condition of the contract to everyone? Her circumstances were still same. She was still darbadar and baighar. And if Murtasim had signed it knowing what Meerab wants or intends, so what does he want from Meerab now.

It is Murtasim who is constantly imposing on her. Lecture on the terrace, chain scene, his dialogues. It is Murtasim who wants Meerab to change her mind and be all lovey dovey with him, and when Meerab is not doing that we are all angry.

Merab is not wrong. Her whole life changed in a matter of seconds and she was forced to marry someone. Doesn't matter if she likes or dislikes that person........forcing to marry someone is itself wrong. But the way writers are presenting Merab and her behaviour to the audience is not done well. Instead of coming out as independent and strong she is coming as bratty and annoying.

She gives in when she should be strong but behaves rudely when she should not.

For Eg, this fish thing......I get it that it was Murtasim's decision to eat but she did ask him to eat even after knowing he has allergies and she was even happy that he would get sick. She felt bad after seeing his condition. That's not your common nok jhok or power play game. It was damn stupid and showed her insensitivity.

I was very much excited to see how she will take revenge from this family. I would have loved if she had slowly taken the whole power from MB and destroyed the family reputation in some way.That would have been the big hit to Murtasim and MB but she is doing these childish things and becoming happy. That's not making her strong.

The writers have written her character very poorly. She could have been a great grey FL if they would have done it right.

And I have lost count of the number of times 'machhli' was repeated. Machhli seemed to be the real star of the show. And why not? Machhli made more sense in one scene than Meerab ever did in 14 episodes.

Who said meerab is bad bec she doesn't want it ? Meerab is the victim , but she is taking out her anger on the wrong person ....plus if she is that strong , she could have easily said no on the nikah day and walked away. His family would be disgraced , she would get her revenge ...else do something concrete to get away, which is fun to watch .

From where I can see , she is falling to his charms but not admitting it. She made breakfast for him the next morning so obviously , her whatever plan backfired .

Exactly why the character isn't appealing at all. She doesn't even bring any sympathy to her , not because of her attitude but the way she's written.

If her father abandoned her when she was born is it murtasims fault? If her foster parents hid her true identity is it murtasims fault ? If they didn't fight for her , is it murtasims fault? If they refused to take her back is it murtasims fault ? If she was forced to marry him by the elders, is it his fault ? Her only complaint to murtasim has been that he didn't say no to the marriage. But she cud have also not agreed after the manipulations isn't it ? She decided to "teach them a lesson and make them cry" hence decided to marry , is that murtasims fault ?

After this sham of a contract which has no legal or moral binding , he is still holding up his end of the bargain. He can still excercise husbands rights on her and she can do nothing...if we think of what worse he can do, rather than what he did or let it happen , it's much more .

That is the thing if we would have gotten a monologue from her that 'Even though Murtasim is not at fault, marrying is the only option to punish this family and she is just using him'..... I would have been okay with that but we got a monologue of her saying that she was slapped because of Murtasim. That doesn't make sense.

Also, when Murtasim took a stand for her infront of MB and Haya, Merab's reaction was again annoying. I understand for one moment, she doesn't want to show him that she was happy because he took a stand, but then we needed another monologue of her for understanding what she was actually feeling there. The writing for her isn't upto the mark.

When she said in Episode 6 or 7 ki ab sabko rulaoungi, I thought she wil use Murtasim as a pawn to target MB & Anwar but her hatred is towards Murtasim which isn't logical.
