I LOVE YOU - my poem (from Mi to Chi)

😆I had this sudden desire to pen a poem from M's POV, and hence wrote this in like 15 mins...please bear with me😆

I love you - Krithika Rangarajan

Oh…your eyes do me in

To be this beautiful is a sin

Like the twinkling stars adorn the night

Your smile lights up my life

Turning it bright

I was content

Until you entered my life

Until you sneaked into my dreams and thoughts

Until....you became my life

Your scent envelops me

Driving me insane

But I still pine for one more sniff

Oh….love is a boon and a bane

Like the homeless seeks a shelter

My eyes seek you

Like the thirsty want water

My every heart beat wants you

I try ignoring you

But your innocence is too hard to resist

Like the water gleams in the sunshine

My soul shimmers in your presence

This feeling is new

Why can't you be mine

Why can't I be blessed with the divine

Why should my heart ache forever

Why did we meet

If we cannot be together, ever

It hurts me bad that I cannot tell you

that you are my world,

It hurts me bad

that I cannot kiss away your tears

Or hold you near

But can't you look into my eyes

And see for yourself

What's hidden in my heart, my soul, my entire being

The only secret…the only truth…the only reality of life….

That I LOVE YOU
