Gurkirat has this endearing innocence. I mean he isn't annoying or whiny. Khud ka hi mazak uda leta hai. Yesterday also he told ki coffee caviars banane the voh mai bhul gaya🤣 even Chef Garima couldn't control her laughter. For anyone else she would have told you can't do such mistakes at this stage😆

Agreed. Gurkirat knows how to learn from his own mistakes. And he laughs at his own mistakes. He doesn't blame others. Even today he wasn't accusing anyone in his team of being slow. He was just saying that Deepaji is slow.

One thing I agree with the chefs on is that he has leadership qualities. His values hold him back though. He is too respectful to everyone, especially those older than him and he doesn't want to boss them around.

Yesterday was hilarious. When he said he forgot, Chef Garima laughed and the other 2 were smiling as well. I burst out laughing as well. Cause he just said it like it was nothing - oops I forgot. Oh well.

I don't think it's about seriousness. I feel like he is happy to be here and get this far. If he was eliminated today, he would celebrate having reached top 11. Not mope about losing. He seems like the type who is happy in the moment and with the small wins.

What’s the point of putting the strongest in one team? At this point it’s almost evident they want Sachin, Suvarna, Nazia, Priyanka, Priya out.

The thing is she didn't say it to the chefs. She said it in her IV, so more like after the fact. But the fact that she voiced is what matters. And even more surprising is that they showed it. Editors could have easily cut it out.

Why do the judges decide the team and not the aprons like MCA where the contestants pick the aprons from a bag and teams automatically get formed? I completely agree with Priya, it is really unfair to give two dessert specialists in one team. I don't know why but I've slowly begun to like Priya's attitude and decorum in the kitchen. Even the way she said that she is stern that they won't mix veg and non veg fryers just because they are falling short of fryers made me feel very good abt her leadership skills.

Also when Priyanka and Suvarna were talking about chopping garlic, did Suvarna say main tujhe chop karti hoon to Priyanka? 😆

Gurkirat has no filter in a very funny and innocent way. The way he was complaining about Deepaji rajma hila rahi hai was too funny 🤣 And also when he said main kabhi kabhi logo ko free hugs deta hoon 😆 I think he is also the youngest along with Sachin in the kitchen right?

I think we forget that the judges actually do not design the tasks or the execution thereof. To think that Vikas, Garima, and Ranveer sit together and plan these team selections or cuisine picks or pantry limitations in their free time and shoot their 'plans' rest of the time is a bit naïve. I am sure even if it's not a scripted show like the rest, they still get directions and briefs re any given task. Their praises of Aruna are still annoying af but we have to reckon with the fact that there are other people behind the scenes too.

I have been crushing so hard on Garima for cutting through the reality tv bs. Ranveer seems very angry with the drama and Vikas has cutesy, sweet persona to uphold. He's very very cute and hayye mumma se milao. But Garima is a queen tbh.

Finally watched the episode today. I was already upset when I saw the teams in the precap and I’ve said this many times on the forum. Today you could clearly see how unbalanced the teams were.

Coming to the menus - I would’ve thought the Asian team would have had it easiest, but they were clearly struggling. They tried to bite more than they could chew. Today they didn’t have to create something different or a Michelin level dish. Todays task was about earning the most. Who in their right mind chooses baos? It’s time consuming! They could’ve served rice and gravies, noodles, stir fries, chilli chicken/paneer, etc. Also, I’m surprised that they didn’t think of a desert. Poor Nayanjyoti was overwhelmed with work. As seen they won’t be able to start serving on time, and it doesn’t surprise me one bit.

American - i liked some elements of their menu, while some were underwhelming. I think the fried chicken and wedges were perfect for their menu, but the corn ribs were not bad but not a substantial dish. I wish they’d have added something more filling for the vegetarians. That’s the only problem with their menu.
They could’ve maybe added a Mac n’ cheese or something. I thought their menu was the easiest from the cooking point of view, it’s a pity their chicken was kacha. Also, this team seemed to work well together.

Mexican - Again their menu was very time consuming to make - making the dough and frying the nachos, making the dough then rolling out and cooking the burrito, frying each churro. I wish they’d have thought of something that didn’t need so much work. They could’ve chosen a Mexican stew, chilli en nogada, Mexican rice, Mexican corn. For dessert they could’ve made dulce de leche ice cream or cake with dulce de leche. Another thing like the judges pointed out the topping for their nachos was the same as stuffing for their burritos (minus the protein). I’m guessing they’ll use the same stuff for their rice as well. Kind of repetitive.

As a customer, I’d be very keen on trying the bao’s followed by the corn ribs and the cake with lemon cream frosting.

I think all of us find Gurkirat’s antics cute is because of the way he says things, but he was mean yesterday, even if it was only to give Priyanka a taste of her own medicine and he did complain about Deepa’s speed. It’s ok to do so sometimes, nothing wrong at all.

I think the Asian team will earn the least - they start service much later than the others and also, they’ll have trouble with their baos (takes time to cook).

Agree with you they should have given desert person in their team too and funny is even though Nayanjyoti and Priyanaka are desert people and they didn't had desert in their menu.
