V is probably gonna get rewarded by DIG for NOT working for 95% time and thereby ensuring that his incompetence does not impact the workflow of the Nagpur police. In this AU, getting fired is not an option sadly. V has made the most useful contribution by staying away from all cases. The only cases he has been involved in are those that involve his kids or family and as expected those are unsolved or had to be solved by Sai. The only time he has done actual work has been when Sai has been around -working alongside so he was also forced to do his duty for a change.

If they had invested on a track where Sai grows in her career, it would have been inspiring. But no, they have to trouble her even in the area where she is the best. Ek car tho dilwavo usko.

He's getting promotion because he and his family has contacts in police department.....they literally please him..... nagesh b kaka earned a lot of fame and name for this criminal family.....so it's not astonishing to see him getting promotion from acp to dcp.....and favouritism is common nowadays in every field.....all he has to do is to plese his seniors and dig....
