I know you are being ironical, but I do think there is a difference. Walking into a cabin without knocking is at the most rude. Touching a coworker and making them uncomfortable is bordering on harassment especially when the dynamic is one of unequal status. If a subordinate walks into a bosses room without knocking she or he can be reprimanded but it’s not ground for firing.
