I too felt he was acting. Vinu hamara beta hai was give away. Even at last moment vinu was his & Sai's son always. And I didn't feel cringe with the hug either lol he was trying to calm down a suicidal person.

True. Sai saw it differently & was hurt but he was trying to calm P. I am just looking it as how it fits the story. Virat always has no long term plan.

Even when he gave baby Vinu to P for him it was a short term solution & he didn’t think of its long term implications . He is doing same here. He should think about p ‘s suicidal tendencies & take action but he won’t.

Story wise this gives Sai reason to file for custody which makes the story interesting. If Virat had done as per law, logic then Sai would get Vinu, and nothing left in CN & story.
