Can someone explain to me Deepika charecter? So her father was tortured and killed by Afghanis, so she became ISI? So then why did she become Ex-isi with John, or was that fake?

Outlander, one doesn't get to know (if my memory works correctly) why she left ISI and became a member of Jim's organisation (she only informs Pathaan that she studied medecin and wanted to work for humanity and entered the ISI agency.

During the movie she is (and remains) an ex.ISI.agent.

She works with/for Jim until the moment she gets to know the nature of Raktbeej and what Jim wants to do...so she then genuinely helps Pathaan to avoid this crime against humanity (not because of India). It's Pathaan and the JCOR group who have - besides the humanitarian - a patriotic motivation.

Ah, okay...it had to be confusing until the moment (after the theft of the Raktbeej) one gets to know that Rubina and Jim had made the plan to make Pathaan believe that she is undercover. She would talk Pathaan into stealing the Raktbeej with her and then let him FALL into the hands of the Russians.

So there are three twists concerning Deepika's character: the 1st one when shattering the glass and fighting Jim's men and then telling Pathaan that she worked undercover for the ISI...the 2nd one when she left Pathaan in the vault (and the audience - NOT Pathaan - gets to know about Rubina in fact working for Jim...the 3rd one when Pathaan gets ahold of her because of the Paris photo and she explains that she doesn't want to work with Jim anymore but help Pathaan to fight him (because now, she knows about the manipulated virus and what Jim plans to do).

Still, there are some misinformation in your review.

I'll start with Jim as he was an excellent antagonist to SRK's Pathaan, superbly played by John Abraham. Jim - through his personal trauma - has become devoid of ANY humanitarian or patriotic thinking. Like Exol rightly states:

Jim has become a mercenary, but the assignment he took he would even have executed without taking money (as he says to the general). But be assured, even if he had accomplished the deed, he would not have felt better inside. I guess that he has forbidden himself to feel anything anymore except smirking about patriotic or humanitarian thinking.

Now to Deepika's role. If one goes into the movie with an open and attentive mind, it has become clear that she plays an ex-agent. She joined the Pakistan intelligence service AFTER what had happened to her dad as she - certainly - had a rather romantic view on the ISI. We don't get to know, why she left the agency and joined Jim's group, but we get to know why she leaves the group and helps Pathaan and his group of JOCR members.

Jim assignes her to honey-trap Pathaan who himself spies on her (even in previous assignments, I guess that her task was oriented on that...and manage the money). It became clear that her "I work as an undercover ISI agent" was a lie to get Pathaan out of the game by using him instead to steal the smallpox virus (the "mate-check - checkmate" scene!). She won't go back to the ISI...in no way! She rather would join JOCR - as Pathaan's partner.

No love story between her and Pathaan although the mutual attraction is there. But Pathaan is much too wary to give in to the sexual attraction (and later maybe deeper feeling) right from the start. From the first viewing of the Besharam song I wrote about my feeling that it is a play from both of them (I just was mistaken about the Jim-angle).

I very much liked the fact that the motive of her u-turn wasn't the love for Pathaan but Jim's crime (supported by extremist Pakistan people - without the Pakistan government's knowledge!!!) against HUMANITY (she even says it). Also for Rubina, politics don't play the main role here....

Sorry...it got long...and it will continue...so much to say/write...

The thing is, the Indian government does not negotiate with terrorists, especially after the 1999 Indian Airlines hijacking, that was a diplomatic disaster, moreover, if a RAW field agent ever gets caught, the government will disown him, and he will receive no help, it is an incredibly risky job. Jim would've known all of the risks before signing up, so this whole story about the government betraying him, doesn't make any sense, a tragedy like that would certainly break someone, but not turn them into a psychopath.

Jim didn't plan any attack against India until he got hired. 😆 He was presumed dead for many years, still he did nothing until the ISI hired him.

So Pathaan helps Rubina after she tells him that she's an ISI agent? an agent of the intelligence wing of an enemy country, this makes Pathaan incredibly stupid 😆 Pathaan is not a smart guy, he knows Rubina works for ISI, sees her in a bikini, gets turned on, and follows her like a puppy down some path straight to Jim, where he gets captured 😆 he then proceeds to completely trust her blindly, and then gets the shock of his life when she betrays him, I mean, who didn't see that coming? 😆 to make it even more ridiculous, he decides to give her a second chance later.

This is what I mean, this movie is completely stupid, the characters are all stupid, the story makes zero sense, what you're saying is that Rubina turned against Jim for humanity, but at the same time, she supposedly left the ISI, probably due to the extremists in the organisation, and then, decided to join Jim's terrorist group instead? 😆not exactly a humanitarian organisation, the same group who's been behind the terrorist attacks in several countries, I mean, what did she think Jim was running, a charity org? What did she think Jim was going to do with smallpox, make vaccines and distribute free of cost? 😆

Nope, if that's what you got from the scene then you got it totally wrong. He went to Spain exclusively to track her down and you really think he followed her coz she was in bikini lmao..come on we cant be that dense now...he followed her knowingly to get more info on her coz you need to mingle with people to extract info ...that exactly was his intention ..he was playing into her game ..ofc jim was surprise for him..thats why this scene was even more thrilling to watch atleast for me..

Also as far as I remember, Rubai had recently started working with Jim and in the movie no where it is shown she was part of those acts . So it is safe to assume considering she cares about humanity unlike Jim , she wasnt part of it. And why she joined Outfit x.?? ...may be to get more close to get details on raktbeej...it is not shown in depth ...

I guess I have to watch the movie again to recollect some of the things ..

I guess her full name is Dr. Rubina something..but ya most of the movie she is addressed as Rubai..
