Crying is not a sign of weakness but it's neither Priyanka or Sumbul fault that her crying has become a joke.

It's quite simple makers set the narrative that she keeps crying and does nothing else which in a way was true .

If we look at the starting weeks almost every epi she was crying

For eg - one time she wanted to become the captain but nobody took her name in the end she started crying .U do nothing but expect from people and eventually cry nobody will take it seriously.

Her mandali members also made fun of her crying .

Rohit shetty also made fun of it .

Even Abdu said he won't take her to his country because she keeps crying

This whole narrative was set by bb it's nobody's fault they believe so 🤷

I don't hate Sumbul she is young it's understandable she cries and doesn't like being made fun of but her only POINTING FINGER AT PRIYANKA IS SO WRONG

BECAUSE MANY PEOPLE SAID SAME THING

Crying is not a sign of weakness but when done in the midst of an argument or debate it takes attention away from the point in discussion. Also can make the other person feel bad when all they are doing is trying to have a debate/discussion.

Tears have an important place in our life but no doubts they also can stop people in their tracks because it is an universal sign of emotional overwhelm. Everyone ends up feeling bad and onlookers are quick to blame the one not crying.

Some people use tears as a weakness as well, to gsin sumpathy and have people look on them kindly.

If Sumbul is crying after an argument with Pri, who isn't crying, people will look at Sumbul sympathy and blame Pri for making her cry. Strong people esp those who don't cry get flak.

Nice post. The thing is crying is considered as weakness even in real life also. People can't understand that like anger, happiness is an emotion in the same way crying is also an emotion. A person doesn't become weak for crying. They become weak by not taking stand for themselves or getting easily used by others. Crying can be someone's strength I being a boy even I cry but my tears are not my weakness they are my strength. Hence people should never underestimate someone's tears. Sumbul is weak but due to the strength of her tears only she was able to survive in a mad house like bigg boss so one should never underestimate her tears

If shouting at the top of the lungs ,mocking, jeering ,taunting & bullying is considered the parameter for being 'strong',then I'd rather be a Sumbul, cry and be 'weak"

BB is a reality show and I guess people of different personalities are welcomed in the show.

I hv seen people defending Priyanka's loud voice and appreciating her fighting skills by calling it a "voice of strong opinionated woman" I agree priyanka is definitely a strong woman . The way she handles criticism is applause worthy and the way she stands against her opponents makes her worthy of trophy

But if one is not as strong as priyanka and feels humiliated when gets disrespected by people atleast ten years older than her and expresses her feelings by crying then that person is treated like an object of mockery.

My concern is why our society wants to see only strength. Why those who shouts and fights are considered as strong and most importantly why one needs to be strong all the time. Why being fragile is a matter of humiliation .

I don't support sumbul in this game as she hasn't done anything great in the show and hasn't contributed much to the show but I disagree with the fact that those who can shout and are Loud deserves more respect than those who can't put their opinions firmly .

if crying is a sign of weakness then why getting loud in an argument is not a sign of weakness?

p.s : the comparison with priyanka is not because I am a hater or obsessed with her . I mentioned her only to show a contrast between two personalities where one is called "strong" and other is "weak"

If for you shouting and speaking loudly means being a strong woman, well I'm sorry you and I don't have the same definition of a strong woman.

The strong woman for me is:

  1. The one who takes a stand when she sees an 18-year-old girl being manipulated by two 40-year-old adults
  2. Know when to speak and when to be silent.
  3. Faithful to her own principles (not to change principles when it suits her ).

When PCC speaks my mother asks me to lower the volume.

PCC is very far from being a strong woman and very far from deserving to win this so-called reality show.

For me Sumbul is stronger than PCC ; After all she went through alone in that house, and where she is today, Sumbul is very strong mentally. If Ankit hadn't been around since the start of PCC wouldn't even be considered a potential winner; because we all see what his game has become after Ankit.

Rona akele main hoti hain. Kisi ke saamne nahi. Nd if done infront of anyone that means the person is too much emotionally attached to the other person.

But fortunately/ unfortunately none in the house is emotionally attached with other person. Neither its sumbul nor priyanka nor others. They r just with each other because they don't want to be single out in the house nd also free from nomination.

Other than Sumbul, who said crying was a sign of weakness? And we should not bring age in this as Sumbul is making 2 times what Priyanka is on the show - they are all contestants.

Italics- That’s the whole point, lol. Agreed different people deal with a situation in a different way, but staying silent even after feeling there is something wrong is not strong, sorry. If Bigg Boss was to just show your personality however it is, tab to koi winner hota hi nhi aaj tak, lol. Why do they create situations jahan people fight? Why in nominations they ask contestants to voice out things clearly? Why do they keep pushing people to play for themselves on WkV? If someone wants to play for their friend instead of themselves to wo bhi unki personality ka part hota hai na, maybe they give more importance to friendship? So why are they then called out by the host and asked to play individually? Why are people given wake up calls, despite them showing how they are in reality? Its clear BB is not a game to just show your reality, reality and game don’t go hand in hand, lol. And makers, host, creatives everybody encourage the contestants to ‘play’ their best ‘game’ ‘individually’, basically BB has a personality type in their mind when they think of whom to take further, so if you watch the show with mindset of it being about people’s reality and any kind of reality should be accepted, that’s not how the creatives wanna play. So its not just the society wanting this, this is even BB wanting this. Thats why I am saying thats not the concept of the show. Ankit was also a real personality for example, why did BB manipulate the housemates and changed the game by giving voting rights to contestants to vote him out? Because even though he was real, he was not giving what the creatives wanted. In reality, BB is a game of controversies, manipulations and fighting, people who do that move ahead, and out of that lot whosoever is has the cleanest game wins.

See thats where my opinion doesn't match with yours. I don't like those personalities who do things that are supposed to do in a reality show in order to look strong and promising. I prefer those who stick to their own self and doesn't change themselves inorder to be called strong. I loved ankit when he was in the show. yes he got evicted unfairly but he stood up to his beliefs and doesn't change himself inorder to shine in the show. That was his USP that he didn't change even after the criticism . I am not saying those are wrong who wish to win this season hence act in the way that they know would be appreciated by the audience of this particular reality show. It's very easy to watch previous seasons and learn how to take stands and get involved In fights. Shiv and pcc are two of the biggest examples of contestants who act according to requirement of a winner and it's fine as at the end of the day it's a show that is made to gain ratings and contestants who would behave In a way that create drama would be considered star player . But my opinion is different I like those who shows their true side and stick to their real self even after getting criticism.

Sumbul's true side is not appealing. She should have been thrown out along with Ankit. But she was kept for fulfilling her maid duties.

First of I don't think Ankit deserved to be thrown out by BB as he had his own charm and was loved by many . Even those who were not his fans before loved his personality in the show. His personality was appealing to me . About sumbul I am not her fan plus this post is not about whether sumbul is deserving or not . It's about why loudness, verbal skills are seen as traits of strength and those who doesn't own such traits are called weak players.

This is a reality show where people of different personalities come but why our society still root for strong people and humiliate weak one. Why can't we accept that strength doesn't lie in loudness and why can't we stop disrespecting those who cry when they feel helpless.
