I am absolutely clear that what Viaan did was unforgivable and frankly all his actions in real life scenario can be construed as a harasser. In fact to me it’s not the ONS where he is the harasser, it’s the behavior afterwards - the slight taunts, the dragging her to Dubai, asking her again in the elevator. This makes him a terrible man. NONE of this is excusable.

The story of his redemption is the one I am totally getting manipulated into. For me it’s that arc that makes for interesting viewing. For the father to redeem himself is very easy, that’s why you find those scenes, boring and dragging, because all he needs to do is have a sincere apology- but in Viaan’s case, that will NEVER do.

His Personal Biases is not an excuse for the bizarre proposal, anyone with a brain would question why she needs such a large sum of money. Maybe she would usenit for illegal purposes? I don't know

Katha's attitude is not right either but Viaan messed up big time and what he did, does constitute is sexual harrassment even without sex.

However, I think he is worthy of forgiveness because he is so deeply ashamed for actions. Forgiveness is always an option unless you did something truly vile.

I know that will never happen but i want katha and Viaan to talk about that night

I mean in real life we definetly talk but the way that night is being called kaali raat etc i am sure it will not be discussed!

I want them to share the pain, the feelings, the emotions they felt! also viaan isnt into one nights and never dated! So was this his first time??
One more thing, it was clear she was okay to sleep with him after she refused to go back. He got the result for his so called test! why did he continue and had sex with her for testing? Did he get carried away? Did he attracted? Did he like touching her?

I just wanted to say that maybe from Katha's POV and as viewers we might think that Viaan was harassing her after the ONS. But at the same time I also feel that that wasn't his intention. He was just confused with everything that happened between them and was trying to get his answers. Whereas some people are true harassers and will not even care to accept it or see their own characteristics. Actually there are a lot of flaws in the storyline

- we don't exactly know what katha thinks of Vian

I don't think she thinks of him as a pervert

Plus once she mentioned to Vian that you did correct judgement of my character main Aurat hi galat hoon

How in the world she got to know about his judgement ,1001 nights dekh Li kya

Plus even in yesterday's episode when Vian mentioned regarding the test thing there were no expression from Katha

So we cant guess what katha thinks of him and what she expects of him

OMG yes the personal bias cannot be reason for his proposal - or let’s say may be an excuse for his bizarre proposal - I.e. he was idiotic and an arsehole and saw an opportunity and did it. BUT absolutely no justification. In fact, in EDT 1 I had made a whole post on how if he wasn’t the CEO, there would be a claim for HR filing. And there he would not be able to justify it,

@ bold - well said. But then what is truly vile is subjective na. That is what some birdies and some of us differ on. And I think that s fine, because personally we have our own limits. For me personally, physical abuse, cheating are where I draw the line, for someone else it’s something else.
It’s highly likely that we automatically think that what are our personal limits should also be societal limits. But reality is not that at all.

For me, I can’t forgive easily. But I have also learned that sometimes forgiveness is about forgiving yourself.

Katha needs to forgive herself, and she is so stoic and so wound up that it will be difficult. She has been written so overtly righteous for a reason, because she is unflappable and unforgiving.

Mee too.. So many questions but possibility of getting the answers are close to zero... I want katha to ask him why did he continue?? Why the hell didn't he just left the room??

Maybe someday we get our answers...

yes, it would make for such interesting storyline and even amazing scenes if they actually do talk about it. I will write a OS on this one day I think

Cheating is the lowest of the low, that is where I draw the line as well. However in this case, Viaan is worth forgiving because katha was an equal participant even if she was reluctant.

I agree, I think that’s why you and I are watching this show. Because we see merit in that the ONS wasn’t non consensual, but it was immoral behavior on part of the man. And we are willing to get manipulated into this much greydom of a story.

I'm telling you, the only reason the word "sin" was used was to satisfy a section of the audience who are offended by sex. Thanks to this being ITV, the writers will never touch the intricaci of the subject but it would be such phenomenal storytelling if they do go there.

Sometimes katha is so harsh that I wonder if she is subconsciously blocking out her feelings regarding that night.
