This is not fair but the makers want the viewers to sympathise with Deviji. I couldn't sympathise with her when she met Maaya. Infact I would be very happy if Maata got Choti Anu's custody.

Maaya said destiny had snatched her rights as a mother away from her that means the baby was taken away from her, so it's unlikely she abandoned CA.

I think she never abandoned the baby and maybe the father of the child left both of them or the father must have taken away the child from Maaya and then left her at the adoption centre. But, what's the point? The so called great Mother India will give a long lecture of her motherhood and her sacrifice followed by her henpecked husband who too will give a long lecture and this will be followed by all her devotees who will praise her for her so called sacrifices and her greatness and somehow get her the custody of Choti Anu. Thus, the biological mother will lose her child to the step mother 😪.

Why can't the makers for once show empathy towards Maaya and not their ever sacrificing Anupamaa? Why can't they show the biological mother getting custody instead of the step mother? Infact if Deviji wasn't the makers favourite the custody would have definitely been given to Maaya and not sant Anupamaa Devi.

Judge will ask Choti Anu who she wants to live with and Choti Anu chooses Deviji....Custody granted!
