Yes not as big a holiday as big festivals or national holidays.

But from one of the post above seems Mahavir jayanti and Baisakhi also fell on same day. That's a banger of a holiday 😆

Brahmastra Has Highest Non Holiday Opening Day Of All Time

Brahmastra has had a huge first day as it collects around 35-36 crore nett in all its versions which is the highest opening day in history on a non holiday for original Hindi content. The only film to do more on a non holiday was Bahubali - The Conclusion. The film will collect around 32-33 crore nett in Hindi with another 3 crore nett coming in languages. The film has managed to collect well in Telugu if we compare numbers with other Hindi films. The film may collect around 9-10 crore nett in South India which will be a record for a Hindi film though obviously a far bigger release than other Hindi films.

The stand out is Nizam Andhra as it heads for a 5.50 crore nett first day in all languages.and the record collections for Nizam / Andhra for a Hindi film are the 25 crore nett of Dangal which includes a little in Telugu. This film will beat that Telugu number in two days flat and also the record of Dhoom 3 in Telugu. Both the big circuits of South (Nizam / Andhra, Mysore) have scored well aided by a minor holiday. Mumbai has also done extraordinary well.

Simply put it is a phenomenal opening day for the film with advances looking super solid for Saturday though the holiday places may drop a little. The Hindi belts are comparatively less compared to Mumbai and South but still they done very good business even the mass circuits. The reason for Mumbai and South doing better than the rest is holiday factor and having more metros with 3D screenings like Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Bangalore.

The film has broken all the myths of the industry of the past few months with boycotts and high ticket pricing stopping audiences coming to cinemas. The collections coming in from overseas are also extraordinary and the film may do a $8-10 million weekend which would be phenomenal and also close to record levels. Also it has to be noted that numbers are coming with a BRAND or FRANCHISE and today branding is the biggest star which can take numbers to a different level.

KGF 2 is looking to set the box office on fire when it releases on Thursday as the craze builds as release gets nearer. The advances are fantastic and comparable with anything outside Bahubali - The Conclusion and a couple of Hollywood tentpoles at present. There is the key Wednesday to come for the advance and it could yet catch Bahubali - The Conclusion in terms of collections though in terms of tickets sold it will fall short for sure.

But the story of this film will not be in the advance like a Avengers Endgame or Spiderman - No Way Home which had better advances but on Thursday when the volcano will erupt with a far bigger audience on the day. KGF 2 may not hit record levels in advance but on Thursday it is a huge holiday as Ambedkar Jayanti, Mahavir Jayanti and Vaisakhi fall on the same day which was not the case with those other films which had huge advances and all released on non holidays.

Wherever the advances finishes compared with Bahubali - The Conclusion or Endgame the difference will be that holiday factor as a film with such a craze has not actually got a holiday like this which is going be like a national holiday. The likes of War and Thugs Of Hindustan which are the biggest openers had huge male leads who were pushing the film while the actual films were not a craze like this film.

KGF 2 will have a shot at creating history on Thursday and set a new all time record for the opening day for a HIndi film and if it does not do it will mainly be because of a limited release in the South due to regional versions. Although its probably jumping the gun it does look that the film will create a new high in all the Hindi circuits be it Mumbai, Delhi - UP or a smaller circuit like Assam assuming the morning momentum remains. The signs for this are in the North as Delhi / UP is looking at a double digit opening day and when a circuit like this goes bonkers over a non cast film then it means records are going to be smashed.

The film is from the South but the shot taking does not have that feel and there is more of an international look which is a huge credit to the director. It is because of this that even circuits like Delhi / UP and East Punjab could set records and if the emotions work with the audience then the sky will the limit.

Those holidays listed might have some benefit but not to push film earning 52 cr that too a Dub film, not any Hindi film.

India ke sabhi holidays ke calendar agar search kiye jaaye toh Brahmastra & Bahubali 2 ke din bhi koi na koi holiday celebrate ho raha hoga 😂😂

Apna working day tha, half day leke dekhi thi KGF 2, BOI ke aadhe article mismatch kar jaate hai.

Ab tujhse iss baat pe hi debate karne ka koi mood nahi, warna abhi Non-holiday kaise hai bata deta 😂

India mein the only Holiday which has the biggest push for any hype film comes 1 day after Diwali day, Vishwakarma day. That day almost 95-98% holiday ho jaata hai.

Then comes Diwali, Eid, Xmas, Republic & Independence day kind of Holidays.

Those 3-4 occasions were celebrated regionally more rather than on National level.

But the film certainly got a push of few crores because of public holiday+ 2 extra occasions warranting holiday in certain regions atleast.

Those few extra crores certainly play a part in " Biggest ever holiday/non holiday/ partial holiday blah blah release.." jiska trumpet bajate hai sab...

Jaise semi hit, successful film, almost hit, decent hit jaise terms hote hai na idhar ke na udhar ke waise hi kgf2 ka semi holiday toh hai not a clean non-holiday 😆
