Nope i decided not to watch it because of the same reason as you: the starcast

besides the OG version is still interesting so i'm watching that regularly! idk how the writers have managed to keep the viewers hooked even after this long 👏

So yesterday i watched SP after ages and saw two promos: one of YRKKH and one of pandya store. Both shows have taken a 6-7 year leap and both have kids now. Akshara and Abhi have been separated for the millionth time but akshu was pregnant and now has a son which abhi has no idea about 😲 and all couples in PS also have sons so yeah looks like sitara's baccha fever still hasn't ended 🤢

and we already have Ghum's kid track going on lol

@OG - really? wow. the bengali tv shows' writers seem to be very creative in recent years and glad this show too is keeping viewers hooked. wish they had picked interesting cast for hindi version.

haha I know about YRKKH, courtesy IF articles. didn't know about PS. honestly yrkkh is beyond laughable now, with such crappy tracks. still, as long as its in top 5, it will keep running

PS downfalls makes me sad :( a gen leap generally means show is not doing good.

and sitara's baccha obsession is eternal just like their multiple marriages obsession and 2 women fighting for 1 man stories obsession🤢

@Ghum - i keep a track of this show, just for the sake of sai's character and hope to see her getting justice some day. and current track has a silver lining, apparently pakhi's uterus is removed so now she can never become a mother (poetic justice and a surprise move must say) and the forum is having a field day gaining sadistic pleasure. Can't blame them. wish the CVs stop this nonsense soon and show virat regretting his behavior, pakhi jailed and sai getting a justice.

ikr? i gave the hindi version a try after making that post yesterday and oh gosh i couldn't even sit through 5 minutes. the acting was so pathetic

i think along with good writing, the acting is what makes the OG bengali versions far better than the hindi versions. even with such low budget, the bengali and other regional starcast easily outshine their hindi versions. i wish these regional artists would get the same recognition and pay as the hindi actors because they really do deserve it

there was a zee tv show which was a remake of a zee bangla show and in that show they cast the og male lead because he became very popular after the bengali version. although i dont think the hindi version became too popular, i was still so happy to see him transition to the hindi platform and get his due! i hope this happens to other talented regional actors too. the only recent female lead who managed to do this was deba who started from colors bangla and then transitioned to hindi platform

there are regional movie actors who had success in the hindi platform but it's relatively rare for tv actors

PS was already doing relatively bad in trp: they were around 1.3-1.5 when other sp shows were around 2 so PS was under the scanner for a loooong time (WAY before even ravivaar with sp started). at the time, sp had even decided to not air PS's episode on rwsp incase PS gets shut down but then idk what happened they aired it a few weeks later. i know about this because the starcast including KD were promoting their rwsp on ig saying it'll air upcoming sunday since those episodes were shot well in advance but sp shot some new episodes last minute with imlie's cast and shelved PS's episode. so yeah i'm not too surprised by PS's gen leap. maybe SP gave them one last chance to see if the TRP improves

haha no offense to the actors but the montage itself makes me turn off.

So well said about the bengali and the regional actors. These people indeed do wonders with smaller budgets, minimum to no promotions and still get good ratings. they are REAL artists 👍🏼

hahahah ikr? the montage was terrible too..the bengali was way better and they never confused the viewers by showing who's paired with who. also idk why but the two actresses playing the FL and her sister looked similar to me so i got even more confused watching it lol

The original show was called Ki kore bolbo tomay (translation: how do i tell you) and the hindi show was called Rishton ka manjha. But while doing research right now, i realized RKM was a remake of another zee bangla show lol. but still Krushal transitioned from Zee Bangla to Zee tv and his hindi pronunciation was pretty good as far i can remember from whatever clips i saw
