Isnt that a good thing? That means it cant flop🥳
Siddharth has limited ability as an actor
But as they say....every dog has its day!
No, it wasn't a fluke, I think. It was a well made movie with a director who made Sid believable in his character.
There are other movies with Sid in a leading role where I found him believable and enjoyed the movie and his performance.
If one isn't a very talented actor with a big range, it is important to work in the range one feels challenged ... Thank God was a far too predictable movie to add something new to Sid's way of character portrayals. (I watched it out of interest for the way they would forward the kind of - rightly guessed - messages one wanted to give). I liked the Ajay-Sid interaction but the movie as such left a rather weak impression on me.
A good movie with all elements gets a thumbs up and that was SherShah! I think Sid career wise should make better decisions we have other actors too in the realm of flops he is not the only one. He is trying every direction with his character selection, he should stick to what works best for his career! He will bounce back I am sure, he has a lot of personality which will win audience again.
I am sorry but even in shershaah.. sid didn't stand out and there's literally not one scene of his from the film that's memorable or popular. He is just a bad actor because even a decent actor would have given at least a few good moments in a film like shershaah.
Just saw "Thank God." He completely failed at comedy.
Shershah was all about the content and direction. But where Sid scores is in the way he was able to make it believable that he was indeed The captain Vikram Bhatra. He was successful in blending into the character seamlessly so it’s definitely not some fluke which happened accidentally. Like Clochette said, his range could be limited so his success would be in picking the roles that will suit him rather than trying to be a versatile actor.
Shershah could not have been done by anyone. Even Jhanvi got a film like Gunjan Saxena. It did not receive close to as much appreciation.
It takes talent to make patriotic army films memorable. One example is Shershah. Another example would be URI. No one even knew who Vicky was at the time. Still, it did so well both in terms of box office and critical acclaim.

I don't know...Shershaah got more acclaim for the plot. Uri was for Vicky itself along with the plot. That kind of OTT stardom has followed Vicky in a way it hasn't with Sid. Sid was also atrocious in his other films like Thank God this year. Vicky at his worst isn't as bad.
