But the point is, murtasim did it to himself. He chose those useless traditions over his chahaat (whatever that turns out to be). I get that he's a product of his upbringing but still why play victim now when you are supposed to be the head of the family now. Why blame others now? If this chahaat was study, he may still pursue it. If it was some girl, he can still pursue her given that she's not married yet.

What is the whole point of this scene? To establish that murtasim is not that much of a sher the promos established him to be? And that he's a brainwashed puppet who is in the illusion that he's the head when in reality the strings are in maa begum's hands?😕

In time, he'll say Yes, but the difference is that the last time, he submitted unwillingly, but this time, he will submit because secretly, he also seems to be interested in Meerab.
