Starone channel had good shows

When i was in my teens, i used to get chills thinking about marriage and having a mother in law.... After seeing all the kitchen politics and saas bahu stuff my mom watches, i decided it's better to stay single..

Later i realised, ITV is not even close to reality and it's very unrealistic.... and not every mother in law is a devil..

Someone should ban the Indian serials...

I wonder people(TRP Aunties) who highly value "parampara pratista anusasan" are watching this disgusting devar bhabhi stuff....or two timers....!!!!!

How can they even watch such depressing and regressive content with family?

When i was in highschool, all my friends talked about was IPKKND & "the chemistry " between the leads...i was like wth...that dude was clearly manhandling the girl.. and he ends up falling for him??? Just why? Don't get me started on ekta's serials.. i mean how is that content even selling?

I heard her OTT shows are even worse....

I wish ITV stops showing saas bahu stuff, kitchen politics..etc..

They should adapt showing limited episodes, exploring more genres like thriller,action, fantasy (not limited to naagin🌚) something with magic and stuff .... and i strongly think a board should be formed to monitor the ITV serial content and ban the shows immediately if regressive content is shown....

And someone should announce an annual prize to the serial that increase social awareness and shows progressive content ..

This was my wishful thinking.. nothing of that sort will happen

Yes and No.

Yes serial does show what viewers want. Nowadays, we have serials which are closer to reality.. be it on Tv or OTT platform. 😲

Example: Sony Tv is a staunch supporter of unconventional shows in its channel like Patiyala Babes, Mere Dad Ki Dulhan, Dhadkan Zindagi Ki, Katha Ankahee.

No.. what viewers want what the serial doesn’t show. Most viewers tune in to get entertainment but the content that is dished out is just high pitched and elongated drama which is becoming stale and boring. Tracks are repetitive with generation leap, so on..

Example: Majority of the serials in Star Plus, Colors and Zee Tv thrive on bigamy involving two sisters 🤡 or separation of leads again and again, or glorifying females like Anupamaa, etc

most of itv shows (more than 90% of them) have same storyline of multiple marriages / infidelity / separations ... mostly two FL with one ML !!!!!!!!

Dhadkan zindagi ki one of my favorite few itv shows, old shows I liked are: left-right-left season 1, diya aur baati hum (initial story), swaragini (ONLY for the reason - it changed stereotype of itv that modern girl is always bad character and traditional one is good character/moral & showing if you lost your love once - it is possible to move on and find love again) !!

another SAB tv show I like so far - Dil diya gallan.

Sarabhai vs Sarabhai and Instant Khichdi. Khichdi was also good, but it aired on SP.
Also horror shows on star one were epic lol i loved them as a kid🤣🤣 Ssshhhh... Koi Hai ❤️

This line sums up everything that needs to be sorted out on ITV serials. If the makers can just follow this rule-of-thumb, everything else will begin to fall in line.
