Nope. In teasers he said that one day you'll tear those papers yourself, and meerab in return said that will be day of her freedom.

So I assume condition must be some contract marriage for limited time OR may be that they'll only be couple in front of family but in actual means they'll not be husband and wife.

I don't think she'll put her education condition in contract. That's a forgotten chapter I guess...

I think she might say until the time she completes her LLB there will be no Ruksathi. May be that is why he said that she would tear the papers. But then why did she say that day will be my freedom day?

Wohhh.......There are over 270+ quote tweets in this tweet. It got the negative hype. The show and especially Yumna and Wahaj are being bashed on twitter for doing this scene.

It will be better if they edit the scene. I want this show to do good

I may be in minority... But I don't think the slap should be cut. If the writer/director feel it is needed, then the audience should trust them. This is a story of two individuals from different ideologies falling in love. The slap is a symbol of this difference in their thinking.

It is a character after all. You cannot say devdas shouldn't drink coz it is bad....that is the story after all. If this show is about how love can change a traditionalist orthodox man into a loving and kind husband...then first we need to see his toxic side to see the change he undergoes.

First of all, I don't think murtasim is shown as a non violent or calm person. He's infact really aggressive and physical. We saw enough examples of his manhandling from the very beginning. That's one prominent point from his upbringing apart from his misogyny or huge ego. That's why him falling in love and striving for meerab's trust will be worth it. That is if they do show his character growth the way it should be done.

Secondly, meerab's hate against him looks superficial uptill now. It's not really logical. While we know murtasim dislikes her because of his ideals and her rebellious nature. Yet he doesn't really hate her. And that's the premises. With this slap her hatred and resistance will be now justified. Because he has really crossed a line.

Thirdly, though the tashan will be equal because I feel he slapped her because of the beghirat word. It was out of whim hence the guilty eyes and caress on the cheek. He immediately looked guilty. I will consider this a mistake on his part. She too became pysical by pushing him over and over without any justified reason. Its her assumption that he's to be blamed but he's not. so it's not one sided not that I don't condemn it.

Also this whole parentage track is weird. I mean why didn't anyone suspect anything earlier with the amount of intrusion Anwar did in meerab's case. And the way her parents listened to this family?😕

Fully agree to every point you have written.👍🏼 If the slap is there to take the story forward, let it be as it is. Yeh twitter pe hashtags toh bante rehte hai. The makers should go with their conviction.

I think their altercation scene will be immediately after Meerab runs away saying aap sab jhoothe hai as shown in the promo. She is already in a disturbed state and seeing Murtasim, she will just get a target to vent away all her anger and frustrations on this situation. Hence, the constant pushing.

Slap or no slap...it's going to be a firecracker of a scene 🔥🔥

Agreed.

Story is a story after all. It should be treated as such. There shouldn't be any negative sentiment towards the actors or direction team.

Tbh some of the dialogues don’t make sense. Since she is calling the marriage condition a Saza I’m guessing she is putting restrictions on a real emotional and physical relationship with Murtassim.

I guess this slap is the talk of the town 😆

Let's first wait for episode, then will comment on it.

Physical violence is definitely not acceptable but still wait for the episode

I hope murtasim will realized that later on.

Devdas suffered the consequences of his actions. He didn't stand up for his love, he lost her forever and to forget her he destroyed himself which ultimately ended his life. Devdas never got away with his actions. All his actions had consequences. Here murtasim is ultimately gonna end up with the girl he slapped. She is eventually gonna fall in love with the guy who slapped her. Paru never forgave devdas for not standing up for their love even though she loved him till the end. She valued her self respect over her love for him. That's the difference. Also devdas never showed drinking is fine. His alcoholism ended his life. In no way it promoted drinking or romaticized drinking. Here they are romanticizing the slap by showing a romantic scene right after the slap.

Will he slap his mother if she was the one calling him begerat? If a man can keep his hands to himself when it comes to his mother then he is fully capable of keeping his hands to himself when it comes to other women as well.

There are more than enough haters to lovers troop dramas that never showed the leads slapping each other. If pak dramas want to take inspiration why not take it from Turkish or kdramas instead of Indian serials? If the writers open their mind a little bit and be creative they can come up with 100 other reasons for meerab to hate murtasim and keep murtasim as a guy that don't hit women when he looses his cool. Turkish dramas have guys that are gangsters that kill people who don't hit women. Kdramas (esp the recent ones) give uttermost importance to respect in a relationship and don't even show the guy invading a girl's privacy without her consent. They all still manage to show angst and passion. Older kdramas used to be misogynistic but when they changed for better. They no more show girls choosing guys that treat them like shit.

Also repeated showing men with extreme toxicity changing after the love of their life enters is cliche and done to death and a fantasy. It feeds on the mindset that 'i can change him' and it's the duty of women to change the ways of their men. In reality it's not gonna happen and the recent Shraddha murder case is the biggest example. If the girl left the guy the first time he raised his hands or the first time he cheated on her she would have been alive now.
