I agree. It was Katha's decision to choose ONS over bribe. I look at it differently.

If she takes the bribe and give away designs, it will impact many more people including herself. The whole EarthCon, its employees and Katha herself as a professional. She might get exposed later and it might affect her future career. Her and Aarav's life can't stop after surgery, right?

If she takes ONS offer, its a deal between two adults, consenting for the act. This route will affect only Katha as an individual, as in her view, this must be very common for Viaan thats why he made an offer of 1Cr 2Lakh 17K

So this is a choice between two horrible options, where she chose what she felt will impact only her as an individual.

I would say that Katha tried with PapaG two times and she was thrown out rudely. And she had a time constraint to pursue her in laws. We know MamaG had an influence on PapaG. But Katha didn't know that.

If you view ONS as a mere deal, an act of s*x, between two consenting adults, without any emotions attached to it, I don't see anything wrong in what Katha chose. Our problem is that we have the habit of viewing everything through the lens of morality.

People do ONS in real life, including in small towns, be it for money or pleasure or any other reasons. And if you watch OTT shows and movies, you can see many of them. So why only Katha's decision wrong?

Almost all shows in all channels shows EMAs, cheating and third angle. To me, that is more wrong than this ONS. Even emotional cheating of your partner is much bigger an issue than a consented act between two adults with no emotions attached to it. Here clearly they are not in any relationship yet.

PS: Just think over a situation, where Viaan and Katha switched their places. What will be your reactions to it. Will you criticise Viaan to chose ONS in that case?

letha -- thats why I see vian differently as well. for him, he made it as an offer between two consenting adults and there was no compulsion either way. she had the option to stay or leave. he had no idea why she wanted the money and neither did he ask. so there is no taking advantage of the situation.

like you said, one night stands and flings does happen in real life. before internet, I remember there used to be personal columns in newspaper. there people would advertise for such things and I was so shocked. the ads were very small and it seemed ironic to see such personals among those looking for relationships and rishtas.

mostly women are judged but here the drama has done a good job of building up the backstory for katha, that audience is on her side. this means, viaan is a villain for some. while I do agree that it was a total prick move on his part, what happened here was between two adults. we do not have to agree with either of them or even like them but just see it as part of the plot.

so if we see it that way, their interactions come off completely different. this is typical office type snarling after a drunken weekend. again, you see that as well and people around just roll their eyes and move on.

letha -- I think it is more shocking that they show triangles between siblings and some ML and somehow, we need to feel sorry for the ML. and TRP is so good that we neeed two seasons of that same plot in same channel. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

am glad katha does not have a sister 😆..... comparatively, this drama is tame in my view.

I agree with your comments. I see this as a transaction between two consenting adults. To me it’s no more or less than that. Everyday people make a decision of going for the best of the worst two options - this was Katha’s decision. The FL is not wallowing in self pity in fact it looks like the ML is🤭

Not yet watched todays episode am looking forward to watching it tonight.

Till now I could not understand how two sisters can fight over a man. That too one sister will even try to kill, abduct and make the others' life a hell. This ONS thing is much better than shows with open bigamy, EMA and triangles, quadrangles etc.

the benchmark for MLs is so low that viaan comes off as better man in some respects. kadoos, prick. but at least he is not going to cheat on you with your sister and then cry a river about how he does not want to hurt anyone especially ma and therefore had to get married to two women at the same time and make everyone miserable. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

M, I am a fan! First architecture and now cats!🤣honestly you depicted it really well. After seeing the latest ep, I am confused whether Katha is really repulsed or annoyed. In her conversations with Lollypop, she does not really say anything negative about Viaan....only the usual complaints about a boss.

I personally have no issue with Katha going for the ONS. She tried everything and even stuck to her ethics by refusing the bribe. She simply ran out of time, and there was so much pressure from the doctor. Katha had to keep her end of the bargain. At that moment, she had no choice but to accept Viaan's offer. She treated the ONS as a deal. I am fine with this.

I won't lie but Viaan's actions and motives don't make sense to me. But I won't judge him. I just cannot relate to his antics of acting as if he is the one who has been wronged. Why the need to talk to Katha, to understand now? You made an offer, which was accepted and 'delivered'. Now why are you focusing on the why, which should have been at the initial stage?

Another thought lurking around my mind. Some of us, myself included, are saying that Katha was repulsed. But Viaan Raghuvanshi is acting as if he was feeling used. Could it be that the ONS was actually a pleasurable affair, and a way for Katha to let go of her worries and simply lose herself in that moment? Blame M but as per the clock in the hotel room, I deduced that Katha was in the hotel room for 6 hours🤣If I recall correctly, Katha arrived at 10pm and left around 4am. The deal does not take that long, right?🤣I leave the floor to you ladies as I have go back to meetings and deadlines 🤣

I’m so glad you both said that. I was tagged into a post where rap**t was mentioned and enjoying such a show. I replied and then deleted as I’m here for fun and communication not conflict.

They are both mature and making decisions - not that I agree with the decision but agree that everyone has a right to make that decision. Especially as the characters are shown as mature.

what I do find hard to believe is the supporting of shows like young girls marrying older men, along with all the bigamy angles, domestic abuse and all that you have both mentioned. Yet people are criticised for watching this show. I want to 🤛🏼 the ML but want to do much worse to other ML’s out there.

bwahahahahha... am dying of laughter. 🤣 no one else noticed the clock and commented. so maybe your theory is right but it is way too controversial for ITV -- imagine both man and woman enjoying one night stand... . this is a type of arc that happens in romance novels. two people accidentally hook up and something more happens than just biological instincts and they are both shaken by the night.
