The history, for anyone who has forgotten:

Fifty years ago, Nānāsāheba Nagarkar was married with two children (Rāvasāheba and Ambika) when he started an affair with Chandrakala Imampurkar, a tamāśā all-rounder. They had a love child, Bhāūsāheba.

As the affair continued, Nānāsāheba's first wife died - of a broken heart, according to Rāvasāheba. Immediately thereafter, Nānāsāheba married Chandrakala and brought her and five-year-old Bhāūsāheba into his home. Rāvasāheba endured taunts because his stepmother was a disgrace to their family's respectability.

At a ceremony in honour of Nānāsāheba and herself, Chandrakala performed a lāvaṇī dance and also played the ḍholakī, mortifying Rāvasāheba.

In his will, Nānāsāheba left everything to Chandrakala. Rāvasāheba suffered misfortune and had to use his wife Vaijayanti's jewellery as capital to build an orchard-based empire.

At some point, according to Mukta who wasn't there, Chandrakala lovingly looked after Rāvasāheba when he was sick.

Rāvasāheba insists that Chandrakala is not part of the family and she must remain in her room upstairs. After years of cruel isolation, Chandrakala recently collapsed from stress after Rāvasāheba tried to throw her out of the house, and she revealed that she owns the house.

Saying that she doesn't have long to live, Chandrakala just wants to be part of the family again.

If you were Rāvasāheba, would you forgive Chandrakala?

Though I hate Raosaheb for ill treating Mukta, and Chandrakala, I do think that Raosaheb and his mom have been wronged...He's a victim of circumstances .. Sometimes it's too hard to forgive and forget specifically when your dear one is involved...Not to forget that he took care of Bhausaheb and his family too.. Raosaheb has a good heart too somewhere as Mukta said.

He has faced disappointment from his own people be it his father or his son now..

Having said so, I do feel that sometimes it's good to let go off your grudges and move on in life ...
