A man's guidance is needed

Why is it that in EVERY STAR PLUS SERIAL, a woman always needs a man to guide them.

For example, in the engagement party, anupama was lecturing pakhi and telling her that she (pakhi) doesn't need a man to succeed and to become rich. But at the same time, anupama needs anujs words all the time even if it's the simpilist things.

Anuj doesn't need to tell anupama everything and to guide her all the time. Why does anupama need anuj to tell her to stand up for herself and what she sometimes does is wrong.
