Since when is releasing a week later considered a clash? Especially for front loaded movies like doctor strange and Spiderman.

Movies releasing with one week gap also compete at the box office. No Way Home didn't make all its money in first week only. It trended well at the box office. Multiverse of Madness run did end in one week, but that was because the movie was disappointing for the audience. If it was not, the film would've done better, and JJ would've struggled to cross even 10 Crore lifetime. Now again Cirkus released one week after Avatar 2 release and that's not even a frontloaded film. His next is again releasing one week before a big Hollywood film.

I know there are only 52 weeks in a year, and movies would clash all the time. But why is it always Ranveer films with a Hollywood film? Atleast now he should realize that releasing his films so close to big Hollywood franchises is not the best idea, and change the release date of his upcoming film.

That Bhai movie looks like a disaster in making. But if it works then Ranveer and Alia's movie is done. It would become a sandwich between KKBKKJ and GOTG Vol. 3.

Actors don't fix release dates.

You're saying its just fate that a Salman movie releases every Eid, and most Aamir films release on Christmas? Not comparing Salman or Aamir with Ranveer, but its naive to think in a star driven industry like Bollywood, actors don't have a say on when their films should release.

The distribution studios set release dates. A movie star may influence, and depending on their star power, they will have some say. But the ultimate decision is made by the studio.

Salman Khan has had a distribution stake in most of his recent releases. Plus, there have been years of branding association between Salman Khan and Eid.

Summer and Christmas Holidays are well-known movie release windows. It makes sense to release movies for the winter holidays. But there is no consistent Christmas release schedule for Aamir Khan. Dangal and PK were released during the winter Holidays. LSC was August. Thugs of Hindostan was November.

In 2009, Wanted released on Eid and was a Hit. After this film, Dabangg (2010), Bodyguard (2011), Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Kick (2014) and Sultan (2016), all released on Eid and Salman neither produced nor distributed these films. His films releasing on Eid became a staple right from Wanted and Dabangg when it wasn't even branding, and he wasn't producing or distributing his films.

Aamir has released many films continously on Christmas (not just during winter holidays). Taare Zameen Par (2007), Ghajini (2008) and 3 Idiots (2009) were all Christmas releases and were back to back films Aamir did. Dhoom 3 (2013), PK (2014) and Dangal (2016) were again back to back movies Aamir did and were also all released on Christmas. Besides TZP, Dangal was the only other film to be produced and distributed by Aamir.

He would've released Laal Singh Chaddha on this Christmas as well if Avatar 2 hadn't released in the same period. LSC previously was set to release on Christmas 2020 and 2021 but couldn't because of the pandemic. Yeah Christmas and Eid are big holiday periods, which boost the box office collections, but why all or at least most of the time its Salman or Aamir releasing their films in this period and not any other actor? Eid and Christmas were not always big festive dates to release films either. Christmas became huge with TZP (along with Welcome) and Ghajini. Eid became huge after Wanted and Dabangg.

Actors definitely influence release dates of their films, and studio can't fix a date without the star's approval, especially male actor.
