Your mom sounds like my mom. She refused to believe she had diabetes for the longest time and wouldnât stop eating two bananas a day. Then she became slightly hyperkalemic and her A1C went to 8. That put the fear of God in her because she hates injections and will never use insulin or GLP-1s and now she really eats heathy and takes her meds on time. Her A1C is below 7 now. Of course my sister and I have to constantly make sure sheâs adherent to her medications and eating right even though we donât live with her. Moms are like kidsâŚ.itâs a lotta workđ¤Ş
You gotta make sure there are no mangoes in the house. If there are, just make sure thereâs only enough. Also, have someone create a meal plan for her. Make her cut down on one unhealthy food item at a time or at least only eat a little bit of it likeâŚ...A small cup of chopped mangoes instead of the whole mango.
Awww your dad sounds sweet. Iâm sure theyâll have a great time with you around for entertainment. Enjoy your peaceful break. Spiritual breaks are important.
dex my mum is like no man or woman you have seen before. she is incredibly charismatic, caring, funny, magnetic, powerful, honest, hardworking, generous, does everything to perfection, she manifests whatever she desires in an instant, she is loyal, forgiving, she is the epitome of a LEO. i am not saying this because she is my mum, but she is the most popular person in every setting you can imagine, women and men gobble her up.
so can you imagine me telling this woman ... what to do and what to eat!? LOLOLOL the most she has ever asked or complained to me about was that she needed to go for umrah because she felt a little chink in her armour! ...and then thy shall be done on earth as it is in heaven,,lol
she built her house on a property that has 12 huge mango trees... cuz she loves mangoes. she has a cook that comes 3 times a week ( my parents work) ... and instead of having him cook her meals.. she makes him make cakes so she can take to parties.. occasionally when he does cook her meals.. she will ask him to make stirfries .. and then she wont feel full cuz its not a curry and she will make her own food as well.
she will love you and your chia pudding... because its healthy and because she loves to eat food.... and then she will eat 6 mangoes.. cuz she already ate the health food.
i dunno what to do with my mum. just wait for her to get older and more reliant on us mere mortals
