Their conversation is about beauty standards for women. Shweta rightfully pointed out that make up, hair and skin care, etc etc are all billion dollar industries which thrives on women’s insecurities. Navya argued that women can just tune out the noise. So yea in this context I think Shweta is right. At 24 Navya probably doesn’t have a single wrinkle or blemish, or any gray hair to worry about. Shweta at 49 does.

Overall though I agree that Shweta herself doesn’t know what a real hardship is. Born to rich parents and married even richer husband.

Hardship is both relative and individual.

For someone who has lived on a say, a teacher's salary, retirement might seem tight even if they're not starving.

Karisma Kapoor wouldn't have known a moment's financial hardship, but her hubby was supposedly abusive and wanted her to sleep with other men. Would anyone deny that was hardship?

Who knows what Shweta went through? Even a hubby constantly comparing a wife to other women can take a toll. He wouldn't even have to say anything. Sleeping around will do that for him. Unless it's a very self-assured woman, she will be left wondering what's wrong with her. It's human nature.
