Yes she was targeting vidhi through Deva and having reporters calling vidhi a gold digger. She knows vidhi loves him. So she is out to take her out from her way. She suspected he loves vidhi but did not realize to this extent that he would defend his love. She still in delusion ki he does not love vidhi but her and broke the engagement because his mother forced him so he was under pressure to go with his mother’s suggestion.
So if vidhi is gone or his reputation is at stack, he will come back to her or if he will make reporter question about her sindoor this might turn table in her favor.
The makers have shown Amba as a narcissist. Such people live in a reality that they believe is true. They can’t take rejection or failure in their stride. So up til now they have shown Amba as a perfect narcissist. Dev is an Idealist so is Vidhi. This is the reason that Dev is attracted towards Vidhi she is as honest and forthright as he is.
Now coming to Priya wo to vestigial organ ban gayi hai in the family. Useless like appendix. She looks at Dev as oppressor. One who never supported her due right to work. To be honest this is something that does not sits well with Dev’s character either. If he could take pains to convince HP not once but thrice why not convince SW to let her do something some way, do Priya does not understand Dev because to her he is a manipulator.
