And you are correct .. if they had the guts to call out the wrong Bk has been doing for years .. the whole family would have been at a better place .. but I guess in a wierd way they are happy with each other .. Virat is as toxic and manipulative as BK and P is a better fit for him .. he certainly did not keep Sai happy at all . And their time together was filled with unending misery n toxicity ..

What is there to surprise. Does nt he knew that she is behindhim from past 14/15 or whatever years. She expressed her love for him n number if times when she was married to him, and he was married to sai. So here it goes, I am not rooting for any pairing.. neither my rants or opinions matter to the makers. I am only basing these thoughts on what the spoilers tell us.
Unless they completely go opposite to the spoilers ... this is what I feel is happening.
I still feel it's a SaiRat story. And there's no fun in VP relationship... purely from a story telling perspective... there is no conflict, there is no drama...
Whereas V Sai still has potential on that regard.
Hence P continues to be relevant to the story.
I am not sure when the makers plan to reveal but there seems to be lot of undercurrent to what is happening. There are multiple parallels to Ghum initial phase of Sais entry in CN.
Again, from storytelling POV... if P is grievously injured, her movements would be limited and her meddling in Sai V affairs would reduce. So either she gets well soon or Sai is brought to CN.
Anyway, CN doesn't have any relevance without Sai. Even when she is not living here, their scenes are limited to only talking about her.
So Sai in CN soon looks like a probable approach to me.
V has been uncharacteristically weird. Especially for these few episodes. So either NB is failing gloriously or he has got a brief to show nothing. And this is to keep the suspense alive. Like Sherry pointed out few days ago about masks.
My assumption is similar.. that V is maintaining a facade.
It was quite surprising that he showed no recollection of anniversary. And he didn't react to Sais words today.
She said 2 things which were repeated from previous events.
"Kaisi anniversary aur kounsi anniversary?" Was from Mahabaleshwar and "mara hua rishta" was from Shruti track.
Considering how V held a grudge for both these events for so long, it's weird that he had no emotions to show.
And it's not like the makers forget stuff. It was clear from the ajinkya reference recently that not everything pre leap is forgotten.
Now the reason I feel this is a facade is the makers are introducing elements to the story which we have never seen happening.
1. All throughout the first week of leap, it was suggested that Saavi doesn't know anything about her Baba. Today she says she got gifts from him. That too a police cap and toy gun. How is it that an inquisitive child like Saavi never asked Sai if her father is a police officer? In initial episodes, Sai also remarked how similar she is to her father while they were at the drill ground.
That narrative was unconvincing to me and few others at that time that Sai would keep stuff away from Saavi. This gift giving Sai is more in line with the Sai we know. She won't cloud Saavis mind with how V has behaved with her. That's not her. She will keep the image clean.
2. As rightly pointed by LadyD... Sai V don't have wedding date in Dec. And have neither celebrated an anniversary except the Mahabaleshwar one. So how is it that V records a date at the baker?
These 2 instances make me feel that if needed the makers will subvert the entire narrative. That it may turn out, V had been playing along, he had a game plan or something and all this was a farce (@mystic... The mesmerized look as well 😔) . Hence all his recent dumbed down looks are with this angle.
It can go VP way too 😡.. but to show a vamp winning everything doesn't look possible (I am going by what the channel says... that P is an established antagonist)
Also it's 4 lives against 1... will the TRP audience accept kids going to P? Don't think so. 🤔
The mesmerized look episode was planned with the accident and the spoilers said V will choose Sai. So the look was either the 'birthday gift' or to put P on a high. It makes V look very bad and it's not the V worthy enough for Sai. But the point is, the accident and V saving Sai is not course correction because of the mess of that episode. It was always planned that way.
So the look should have some meaning but in the end it's stays on V Sai as the main characters.
If these factors are to be understood objectively... something is happening or was planned in advance but we are unable to put our finger on it.
And since the subversion has happened later, it feels like the story is now being refocused on Sai V.
Moor, there have been enough undercurrents. But more evident ones lately. Especially V's switch and lovey dovey act towards P. There is definite activity happening below the earth. The tremors will be felt when the pressure builds up. Like the accident.
I agree with all you have mentioned. Adding a few points. One is, how can V forget the date. I have asked this question. If it is that he has forgotten Sai because of Savi, then the fact that V loves Sai more than anyone and for him she comes even before his children will be questioned. (I know human error possibility is there). But then someone he loved and mourned all these years can't simply forget the date.
Sadhika - Now that Moor also agrees that V may have planned it, lets revisit our question and a scene in particular. Why did V go to Sai's place when Sai had clearly said she is not sending Savi. Did he not give assurance to P that they will go irrespective of Savi joining them or not? What made him visit Sai's place then?
The phone convo between Sai-V can give some answer. Sai said "Kuch hai". And V had that "curious" expression. "Aisa kya hai". And he probably did find his answer. He may have gone with some plan, but JM's presence threw him off. And here, I will add my initial version. That V knew Sai will not leave Savi and will follow. So he challenged her in a way.
Now let us analyse V's reaction. Ideally if V didn’t remember the anniversary, then he should have shown the surprised reaction first. He should have looked at Sai first and realised that Savi's birthday coincides with their anniversary. But he says this later. He first looks at P in an angry way (as if she had planned this). But he was probably gauging her in his masked expression. And he knows P doesn’t know about this fact. So he looks at Sai and then speaks aloud, for P to hear and react.
First things first, this story is the journey of Sai Virat, preleap was as spouses and now as parents. Haa p as the unwanted angle rahega hii till she is in the montage. We can hate it but can't ignore this. If some twist is indeed planned with this accident then it has to shift narrative towards Sai-Virat getting towards eo as parents, then partners. This narrative has a lot of drama quotient, conflict and layers with parallel stories of side characters.
VP journey is useless, bland with no conflict. Somehow Sai-savi have to enter CN. How...mujhe ni vanku ko pata hai. Chahe 8th December ka coincidence ho ya bus mei gaane ho, yaa aaj ki couple game ho jo kal continue hogi is planned . It's not happening randomly. The problem is that NB as virat is failing big time. Facade keeping is understood but blank face isn't. That mesmerizing moment was spoiled by his stupidity only. Too many undercurrents. Accident se nhi...uske takeaways se story move hogi. All the three characters will gain/lose something....the realizations, apologies, acceptance has to come for all including CN wasis.

Agree. The problem is the cost this will come at. And how compromised will be their love and relationship when they come together. The reason that they come together for.
And it definitely should not be P who paves way or clears their MU. Then their relationship becomes a charity given by P.

The mesmerized look Virat gave cannot be a blooper . It’s just to show V ‘s feelings have started changing for P . It might sound out of place for fans but for makers it’s the start of their journey as couple . Sairat story started this way . Another indication is in channel’s official Twitter page promotion is all about Virat Pakhi’s relationship . Choosing Sai over P is the choice Virat will make for practical reasons and again end of the track it will focus on VP relationship . Suddenly , P was turning insecure and borderline negative but they show characters flipping and changing narrative that P is right in her place .
Either they are moving towards VP as a couple falling in love or it’s Vankar’s statergy to shock audiences by showing something unexpected and no where on SM anyone expected Virat to admire Pakhi this way .

By anniversary he knew what body part of her aches, she wore pearls or diamond or whatever.
They were gambling initially and as soon as TRP survived despite Virakhi they have been only showing their progress.
Even now they are going week by week.because of new show they gave hints of negative PL but since TRP still sustaining they flipped everyone again.
