@pink- Thiss!! is so true! That scene was really something else.

By saying yes to Amba he was essentially shutting out all roads for Vidhi to be in his life. And that thought itself was so painful to him he just couldn't sit with his family and see them being happy when his life was literally burning away.

And the funny thing is he didn't open those roads even after his confession to Vidhi. He still held the road block signboard of - there is no future / society won't accept. If in some way Amba is involved in the current mess, then she removed those road blocks with her own hands.😆 Because the reason for Dev's refusal (that Vidhi would end up facing taunts from all sides) is already a reality.

@bold- I might be wrong but I think he wouldn't have been able to go through the wedding. He would have eventually backed out. One could see his increasing restlessness with each passing day and his desperation to reach out to Vidhi as his engagement neared. And Amba's antics were adding fuel to the fire. He wasn't able to stand Amba in the same space as him. So he would have eventually reached a stage where he wouldn't be able to do this even for his family and backed off.

Oh yeah. He would definitely have backed off. More a question of when.
