I am curious about the composition of the focus group that came up with that list 😆

It would not be MY list, but it's interesting nevertheless.

Cinema has a lot to do with personal perception though I don't take those lists really serious. Still, it shows Rajamoulis preferences and that, I find interesting.

What a harebrained list. Na sar na par. I agree with Apocalypto and The Lion King. Sounds like the man is besotted with Mel Gibson. Nothing else about the list makes sense.

Rajamouli is certified Mel Gibson fanboy. Never misses a chance to state him as his filmmaking influence. 😆

I feel the list is an exact replica of his style of filmmaking, those with spectacles and elaborate tales or stories woven around myths. Lion King had to be mentioned, given Bahubali is 'heavily' inspired by it.

I grew out of most of these movies at 18, but still find some of them nostalgic. Guy likes spectacles. Nothing wrong about it. It's a sharp contrast to other filmmakers' who'd atleast have one Kurosawa thrown in. 😆

I know all the movies on the list except the Tamil (+Telugu) Mayabazar. After looking it up on Wikipedia, I certainly will give it a try ...there are interesting "firsts" in the making of the movie...have to research where I can watch it...it is epic and with my projector, I can watch it on the white wall I've for watching movies like in a little theatre.
