There is fine line between being compassionate/caring for others and being practical. In all the cases you mentioned, yes strangers help by calling ambulence, police,taking them to hospital as deemed by the situation.

But here, we are talking about bringing the victim home, and fighting a case for her. The practical thing to do in this case, would have been to offer her support by taking her to hospital, reporting to police and then dropping her off to her home. If she does not have a home, she needs a shelter, an organization that provides shelter for victims like her. Anu & Anuj should be doing that, not bring her home and make her a family member.

In real life, I cannot imagine anyone acting like Anupama ( & Anuj) is now with this girl Dimple. Unless, ofcourse they are running an organization to protect/empower women, bring justice to surviors etc.

The show has been made in diff regions of India inc north , south , east , west ... So I’m guessing it’s finding audiences everywhere and characters like Baa and Vanraj are found there also so ppl relate ...

You can share experience but in this case do you have personal experience of all other parts to comment or make generalised sweeping statements? We can have healthy discussion on social issues without dragging states , communities etc into discussion unnecessarily.

Yes I say because in north west are like baa and vanraj because in north west particular in up.u will.see that in most of house husband feel.ashamed to.touch to.clothes of wife .

Absolutely agree with this. No one is saying they shouldn't testify or support her. But no sane person, not even the kindest people, will bring the person home and keep them like a family member. They should drop her to her own house or to an organisation that can help. I mean, she's been a victim of a brutal gang rape, she needs a trauma counsellor and professional help! Not to be kept in a person's house whom she just met and to show "our toxic family is the best therapy, everything will be solved". They have so many of their own problems to deal with. Earlier, Anupama wasn't even able to handle whatever was on her plate, she still can't, and now she's added this also by bringing the victim home? She already cries and gives lectures about her various responsibilities and now she's added one more "matka" to her head. Where is the logic??

They should testify in court for sure and support her financially if required after assuring adequate security for everyone. How on earth is Anupama just travelling in auto because her car broke down, the same day they received a THREAT letter? How stupid can you be! Why doesn't she have security? She should provide security for the Shahs also and everyone involved and then she can tell people she's doing the right thing. Right now she's being stupid as hell.

Why dragging regionalism in all this dude ... Are u trying to say that crimes against women are not reported from other parts of the country ? I agree in some states lawlessness is worst , but having stayed in 4 states from diff regions I can say that as a women , esp when travelling alone , after evening etc you have to always be on your guard ...This is unfortunate truth all over India ...

I have faced Eve teasing while travelling by bus in a city which is often termed as safest for women due to its low reported crime rates , with other passengers inc women being mere bystanders .. while touchwood never faced any incident in the city which is termed as crime capital of country ....

And here we are talking only about reported crimes or those in public , incidents of sexual abuse , molestation etc are many times unreported cz culprit is known or family member or victim is a minor ... And trust me those are rampant not only through India but probably a lot of South Asian and underdeveloped/ developing countries ( I don’t have statistics for rest of world so not commenting )

Anyway it’s a fictional scenario to add masala to script , so why say it will or won’t happen in xyz city .. We also know that route from KM to Shah house doesn’t go through a deserted road / jungle types the way it is shown ... We also know police time pe nahi ayegi and strangers won’t help otherwise how will they glorify AnupaMaa and aurat ki ladai without mard n nonsense ...

This is second time I’m seeing this kind of remark on forum since last few days ( previously there was one that ppl from North western states can relate to this show there are more Vanraj and Baa there , which I let go ) ... so just requesting not to make unnecessary comments and destroy harmony of forum ...

I am not talking of regionalism here because i have lived in most regions north south west of india

I just wrote that some city are much safer than other cities

Like in ahmedabad/mumbai/hyderbad/chennai/bangalore even at 1am girls can go eat chat in market or watch movies and go back walking 1km/2km back home or take auto or taxi

Tell me in UP or bihar or even delhi can girl or 2 girls go alone eat chat at 1am or return watching movie at 1am? (for your info i have stayed in UP and delhi too)

In delhi if girl go alone on roads at 7pm boys start following in bike or car

In UP/Bihar too many cities no girl will dare go out to eat alone from home at 1am unlike in mumbai/ahmedabad/hyderbad (one or two city is exceptions safer)

In many of these city hotels or street food open at 9pm and close at 3am and one girl or 2 girls can go alone to eat at that time too and return safe most times (i cannot say 100% but yes girls go out in these cities till 1am alone without parents or brother or boys accompanying them even in 2022)

And in south and west the percentage reporting of crimes is much more as police is more friendly and educated

Taking an auto/taxi after 9pm is safer in south and west india for a single girl. I cannot say 100% auto and taxi driver are good because there too women have been abducted and killed. But its still safer much safer in mumbai/bangalore/ahmedabad than a delhi or agra or morabadad or patna etc to take auto after 9pm for one girl alone

For the first time Baa was thinking rationally. I whole heartedly support her for the first time. Who is Dimple to Shahs? Why would they disrupt their daily life for someone they never met. It's not only Anu who has been threatned, the whole Shah family has been threatned. Can Anu ensure their safety? Give Dimple some money and send her to her parents house. Let them handle it in their own way. Anuj can testify in court after ensuring strict security for the entire family. Who brings an unknown girl in their house. Heights of stupidity.
