Oh my gawd Twerps!!! This post has my heart ❤️ You’re right, one could literally see the change in Basit’s demeanour as soon as Soha mentioned that he’s gotten too frank with Bano. He sat up straighter, seemed stiff and got his point across without being outrightly rude but made sure to point out that Bano is his family.

I feel that Basit has gotten so protective over Ayesha that anybody she holds dear is inevitably under his protection. I think this feeling of protectiveness over Ayesha will increase manifold once he gets to know that she’s expecting.

You could literally see in the promo when he’s guiding Ayesha who has a blindfold on about how careful he is with her. The old Basit would’ve freaked out at the thought of becoming a father and this new Basit is throwing a party to surprise and celebrate his pregnant wife ❤️❤️❤️ So one can only imagine how strongly he would want to shield his wife during this delicate time.

I absolutely agree with you that amidst all of this, we should not forget Basit’s inherent nature. While Soha knows Basit as a charming, young and rich man who can be a caring friend and husband, Basit is not only this. He’s ambitious, a go getter and knows how to persevere. You are so right when you said that he overcame his biggest fear in order to save his business.

Basit can also be cold hearted and calculative when confronted with anything that threatens to destroy his peace of mind or happiness and Ayesha is his greatest source of happiness, his only family who will be shown to carry his child. While I would like both Basit and Ayesha to dish out the final blow to Soha but I’m more keen to see the old Basit in action.

❤️

Wish your friend's mom all the very best with her recovery. Do make sure to warn her how Habs messes up towards the end! 😆

Basit will really go over the roof once he finds out he is going to be a dad. For most of his life he had been denied a complete family and had been full of hurt and resentment for it. Now that he has it within reach, he will make sure that nothing touches his wife and child. hehe...that is something I do look forward to seeing...Soha being decimated by Basit.

This is so picturesque that it looks real!! 🤩 The backdrop, Basit and Ayesha’s outfits (which are colour coordinated), the breakfast spread everything is stunning ❤️ Why do I have a feeling that this is exactly how it would’ve looked had they really gone there. Thank you for this 🤗

Also guys we were so right about pictures being shared of the honeymoon! When Fahad was talking to Soha, he remarked that I saw the pictures on social media. I believe Basit is the one who is uploading the pictures, wonder what captions he’s using 😆

We also rightly predicted, Jawad keeping tabs on Ayet and then teaming up with Soha to reveal all office and family dynamics of Ayet’s life to her. Those two (Soha and Jawad) are a pair made in heaven though 🤣

Thank you so much ❤️ I specifically picked those photos because of the matching colored outfits 🤣 I like couples who wear similar clothes in general, like in kdramas those couple ítems... Gosh I love them, I've always found that really cute 😍 Also, I guess this husband material version of Basit wanted to share his happiness with the world 🥰 Soha and Jawad would make a dream couple considering how sly both are.... Dear writer pair her up with our office gossip queen instead of making her a nonsense courting Basit....

Girl!!!! I have no words for this! This is so superb! And the way you have positioned Ayesha, Basit looks lost in her while she poses prettily for the camera

We now have an entire Ayet Honeymoon series, all thanks to you! 🤗

hehehe!!!! I missed the bit about Fahad seeing Ayet's photos on social media since I wanted that scene to be over so bad, ended up skipping parts but the very idea that Basit has been posting their photos on social media is just sooo cute!!! Boy is in the shouting from rooftops about his love phase.

And had completely forgotten about our track for Jawad! Oh god! Along with Soha, will that guy get his long overdue punishment finally?!!!

I hope it's ok to write this here, if not I will delete it..

I just finished watching my 2nd Pakistani serial - Gul-e-rana. I found it extremely difficult to watch yet strangely compelling, perhaps because the leads really aced the acting. The toxicity of the ML was simply too much for me - it was so open and raw and unabashed. Every time he said or did something degrading to the FL or to any of the other female characters, I felt my skin crawl. The casual manhandling, the forced marriage, the derogatory remarks..it was misogyny at a level I have quite literally never seen.

Feroze Khan did a great job with this character. He is extremely expressive. Even the tiniest reaction shows on his face. He seems like such a natural to me, acting seems to come easily and effortlessly to him. But here it was Sajal Aly who blew me away. Her eyes were like limpid pools reflecting so many conflicting emotions. The core of steel she possessed under that soft and feminine exterior..the fact that she gave as good as she got..that she was openly dismissive and contemptuous of the ML..that she never softened towards him even when he tried to change and mend his ways. I was in awe of the way she portrayed this role at such a young age👏In fact FK also must have been very young at the time this serial came out. Commendable acting by both.

Very aptly put! I felt the exact same about that show. Generally, you see elements of what is in Gul-e-Rana in other shows where it is romanticised, but here the writer (idk name) and the makers had literally shown abuse for what it is. You cannot for a single moment fool yourself into interpreting it as romantic.

I believe it is one of their very early shows, Feroze, Sajal and Imran Ashraf.

Thanks ! I just finished watching it today so my thoughts were fresh ! Yes I agree with you, this kind of behavior is often (dangerously) romanticized and I'm so glad they didn't do that here. I simply loved the fact that the FL never let the ML's abusiveness get to the core of her, to her spirit. You could sense the remoteness and detachment she maintained from him even when forced to stay in close contact with him. And I'm glad it all didn't end happily ever after. I wish such stories would serve as a cautionary tale to men who think they can treat women like crap and get away with it.
