Earlier when Stardust and Filmfare was a craze there were plenty of articles about Daisy and Honey Irani's indifferent attitude towards Sajid's mother.

She married a small time producer cum actor who never made it big. Sajid worked as a DJ in clubs while Farah toured with a dance troupe.

Once Farah became successful there was no looking back.

Financially to a certain extent Daisy Irani helped and supported the family after the father's death.

Yeah they hanged around with film stars for work

Sajid referring to dancing on the beaches is true because those days rave parties were popular and dancers got paid per hour.

Thank you for the update. I agree they might have seen ups and downs but I don't agree that he is truly from jhompadpati.

Not from slums but yeah way back in the 80s Bandra had one room kitchen apartments, I am not sure if his family were tenants or they had a house of their own.

It does not matter because Farah is having her own Pent House in Lokhandwala and Sajid has amassed lot of wealth.
