The Boss and the Secretary Series 2 - The Adorable Secretary
Ram checked his appearance in the mirror nervously. He chuckled, trying to hide his nervousness. He was finally going on a date with Priya. Remembering the day when she had stood up to him for the first time, he shook his head. She had sent him off an edge. Later when he had calmed down, he realised that she stood up just like a warrior to every challenge life threw on her. She always fought for what is right and for the happiness of other people. She was ready to fight, but at the same time she was like a delicate flower. Such people are rare. Ram found her adorable so he decided to keep her for himself, forever.
They had not confessed their feelings with each other, but it wasn’t a secret anymore, at least not after what happened at the office this morning.
“Sir, we needed to discuss about the Malaysia Deals,” Ram heard his secretary and gestured her to sit down, engrossed in a file.
He waited for Priya to switch on her phone's recording, before starting the meeting. She didn’t know, but he always did that. He was amazed when she did it the first time. It was a smart move because Ram dictated really fast and he didn’t want a single detail to be missed in any project.
Suddenly he felt her gaze shifting from his eyes towards his lips. Ram skipped a heartbeat. He had caught her checking him out many times but she had never looked at his lips directly. He gaze went to her lips too, he always found them kissable. He decided to end the meeting before he was caught.
"That's all for the time. You may leave now," Ram said and opened the file he was prior working on. Not reading, just trying to calm his racing heart.
God! He needed a coffee!
"Priya!" He called. She made the best coffee. "Can you get me a cup of coffee please?"
"Yes, sir." She nodded and went to her cabin.
Ram pressed the file on his face.
Excellent, he is more concentrated on her lips rather than the meeting now. What the hell was he doing? He knew he was always in love with her, but her physical appearance was never the reason. He loved Priya for who she who she was.
"Sir, your coffee." Priya said as soon as she entered the cabin.
Ram tried to take the coffee from her hand, still engrossed in the file. He knew, if he looked at her, his eyes would automatically fall on her lips. And he didn’t know if he could control himself. His hand slightly brushed with hers, he felt current pass through his body. He was sure the same happened to her. Priya dropped the coffee mug to the floor, breaking it.
"I-I'm s-sorry Sir, you are too hot to handle. I mean.. the coffee not you...N-not you S-sir,” she repeated herself.
"Not that you are not h-hot, but the coffee was hotter..." she tried to correct herself, at which he raised an eyebrow. What she finally going to blunt out what he always wanted to hear?
"I mean the c-coffee, coffee was too hot to handle", as she went on fumbling with the words.
Ram sighed. He left his seat and walked towards her.
“Relax, Miss sood. It’s fine. Just take care if yourself. I do not want the absence of my only secretary in the office due to some petty accident.”
He said with a nervous chuckle but then winked at her, smiling.
"Are you flirting with me?" She asked suspiciously.
Ram smirked again.
"Why, you want me to?" He asked teasing her.
"At least ask me out first!"
Everyone in the cabin turned to look at her shocked.
And the most shocked one was Ram Kapoor himself. He had been trying his best not to let anyone be obvious of his feeling for Priya. But seems like all his efforts went in vain.
He saw blood ran down her face. She was feeling embarrassed.
“Sure,” Ram said moving closer to her. It was time he end this formal relation now. “Lets have dinner together. What about tonight? I’ll pick you at 7.”

Ram stopped his car in front of Priya's house and took out his phone to call her.
“Come out Priya, I am waiting outside your house.”
“But Sir I… I thought you are joking.”
“Didn’t I tell you I was serious?” he asked frowning.
“Yeah, but…”
“Priya, are you ready or not?”
“No.” she said and closed her eyes in regret.
“What are you wearing?” Ram asked after thinking for a while.
“Huh?”
“I asked what are you wearing Priya,” He repeated himself.
“I am in my pajamas,” she answered confused.
"Is it green?"
"No..."
“Great, wear something green and give me half an hour,” Ram said and cut the call leaving Priya all confused and nervous.
She changed to her green punjabi salwaar and waited for her mobile to ring again.
40 minutes later, Priya's phone beeped with a message.
“Come to the terrace.”
Ram Kapoor in her terrace? What’s he doing there? Priya climbed the stairs in a haste, her minds bombarding with questions.
On reaching the terrace, she saw it fully lit with yellow, blue, green, red and all other lights available. There was also a music player nearby and a box of chocolates. She was completely startled.
"It was all I could manage in 30, sorry 40 minutes,” Ram said as he smiled at her. He continued, "I know its hard to believe that I am actually doing this. Priya, I may not be the hero of those fictions who will sacrifice their life but as long as I'm alive, I promise to protect you and take care of you. O know I am as imperfect as you get in a guy but for you, I strive to be perfect because you are perfect for me," and switched on the music player right behind him which began to play a soft tune.
Ram went down on his knee and opened the box of chocolates, holding it out towards Priya, "Please be my girlfriend.”
“Okay,” Priya chirped and took the chocolates from his hand.
Ram stood up and smiled at her as she started munching on one of the chocolate bars.
“Will you at least hug me?” he asked.
She opened her arms with a smile and Ram hugged her tight. She hugged him back with equal happiness.
“Are you hungry?” he asked as he looked at her.
“Are you going to cook? You have never cooked for me,” she pouted making Ram laugh.
“Stop laughing and go cook me, boyfriend!” Priya said as she messed his hair.
“You wish, my command, girlfriend!” Ram said as he walked downstairs and directly towards the kitchen to cook the best dinner Priya had ever had.
