I agree Allu Arjun is smarter at promoting and positioning himself.

His visit at Golden Temple with family and without guards or PR team was masterstroke. Not only promoted him among North Indians and diaspora of North Indians abroad but also showed his humility and made him a cultural connector or bridge of sorts between South and North.

Not many stars from South have tried visiting North Indian sites or interacted with North Indian media the way Arjun did. Rajinikanth, Kamal, Chiru, Dhanush, Ram Charan etc are only few ones who come to mind when it comes to outreach in sites and media familiar to North Indians.

Prabhas and Rana seem to have totally wasted Bahubali attention and advantage. Even Tamannah is seen more in ads. Anushka too, did not cash on her popularity in North despite TV success of her old films like Arundhati, Vaishnavi, Bhaagmathie, Nagavalli or success of Bahubali series. I would have liked to see Bahubali actors more in North Indian media though. All are talented and charismatic.

What rubbish..this guy gave a 15cr grosser this year..not many even saw that movie..he is getting one undeserving award after another..like he is making a total fool of himself..

There is no denying allu arjuns talent

But he is like aliaa….born with a silver spoon…had everything on a sliver platter which he took to the next level because of his talent and some truly aggressive pr work

His family has around 12 actors, not all of whom are successful, but they continue getting films regardless ….coz….nepo

So given he’s the most talented in his family, one can imagine the jumpstart he had

He is also at the sweet spot because unlike ram charan who is chiranjeevis son and had privilege that came with huge expectations …allu was just a relative to chiranjeevi and didn’t have to deal with those pressures ….but he got all the perks because the allu family is old money rich and in the industry for decades ….it’s even said chiranjeevis stardom was largely after his marriage into the allu family and the lobbying and marketing they did for him …

That’s because Prabhas never really bothered to put himself out there thanks to him being an introvert and his media shyness. He has always been like this even before the Baahubali success. On the other hand Allu Arjun has been systematically at it using his resources effectively to make himself more visible. He started doing this much before even Pushpa giving interviews to the Hindi portals like Filmi companion etc. Along with being a talented actor, he also seems to be a shrewd businessman. An example for his fine business acumen, he saw that Spider-Man and 83 were being released within a week and knew Pushpa won’t find a market if he lets Spider-Man settle in and come one week later clashing with 83 so he decided to come one week earlier along with Spider-Man and the rest as they say, is history.

Btw a fun fact, Pushpa was never intended to be such a huge pan India release but apparently it was SSR who urged Allu Arjun and Sukumar to take the pan India market more seriously.

It's not Arjun's acumen but his father's who is known to be one of the most intelligent and astute producers in the country.

Chiranjeevi was talented but he became a superstar only after he married Surekha. Allu Ramalingaiah had tremendous goodwill in the industry and he put it all behind his son in law. And Allu Aravind is a very intelligent and shrewd businessman. He literally planned it all and made chiranjeevi what he is today. Not just chiranjeevi but also Pawan Kalyan's stardom is all very carefully curated by Aravind.

I think Arjun ain’t like Alia though, he’s more like the Hrithik Roshan who’s definitely a nepo kid but didn’t get over exposed and worked hard to build in the fan following and good will. As I said, Allu Arjun is the only one who penetrated all South Indian markets after Rajnikanth and I believe that his extraordinary dancing skills and some old school common man characters made him the man of the masses. Even though the Mega family is the biggest and has around 12 actors but I think Chiranjeevi, Arjun and Pawan Kalyan are the only ones who have been massive. Also Allu Arvind has practically made careers of many in the industry and so did benefited the family stars too, however just how being a star kid didn’t provide Abhishekh Bacchan the superstardom of Hrithik Roshan, similarly Allu Arvind’s youngest son Allu Sirish is no where close to the stardom of his elder brother Allu Arjun.

And yes Allu Arjun and Ram Charan are cousins and even though they share a very good bond, the media always pitches them against each other, Arjun and Charan are always compared, based on their films and market value, and I’m glad that even such competition didn’t make things toxic between the two cousins who practically grew up as brothers.

Same for Anushka and Rana, I think Anushka is not interested, she is also very low profile despite her huge popularity and Rana is also more interested in doing production, off beat or supporting roles and not typical hero type roles. It is actually refreshing to see them in an era when people amplify non existent stardom through sm. It is also the level of ambition.

Yes, allu has the package of a “star” dance,

Acting and charisma and obviously his dad’s super shrewdness and resources but he is social and outgoing unlike the others.

He literally has the entire country’s distributors and producers at his beck and call thanks to his superstar producer dad Allu Aravind. His dad usurped the careers of a couple of the then upcoming stars like Raja, Uday Koran etc to give space to his son. Allu Arjun definitely is a very talented actor now but he didn’t start this way and needed a lot of projects specially curated for him to reach to this level today. Same with Nagarjuna, Venkatesh etc. Hrithik Roshan is the one who is least privileged amongst these and there is no comparison between his journey and Allu Arjun’s.
