She is confident that she doesn’t have two left feet, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t reprimanded by her choreographer Akash Thapa on a regular basis. Niti Taylor, who is juggling the shoot of Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan and the rehearsals of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10, is thrilled to realise her dream of being on the dance reality show. “I remember going to the BBC office for Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan and seeing the Jhalak room. I always hoped to be a part of the show someday,” says the actor. While she has manifested her wish, being pitted against trained dancers was definitely not part of her dream.

“I do feel it is unfair at times to be in a competition with dancers like Gunjan [Sinha] or Gashmeer [Mahajani], especially for non-dancers including me,” says Taylor, adding, “While my parents did enrol me in dance classes as a kid, I never mastered any dance form. I thought I could dance a little bit, but after being on the show, I realised I know nothing.” She always believed that Jhalak was to be the journey of a non-dancer becoming a dancer. “But here, we have dancers who are becoming great, and we are just [sitting on the side-lines] admiring them. The first few days, I had bruises all over my body and continue to have injuries. I have fallen so many times that I have lost [count]. In fact, my family has been coming to take care of me since I was sick,” adds Taylor, who was running a high fever just last week.

So far on the show, Taylor has tried her hand at several dance forms, including contemporary, freestyle, jive, and cha cha cha and hopes to soon experiment with others. “I know the basics of salsa and rock n roll. I tried hip-hop, but I am bad at it. Next, I want to try lyrical hip-hop.” Ask her about her family’s reaction, Taylor gushes with gratitude for the love her husband, parents, friends, the team of Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan, and fans have been showering on her. “My husband [Parikshit Bawa] has been sending my video on his army WhatsApp group, while my family is busy collecting votes. On a live chat with fans, Parth [Samthaan] told me that he also caught up on my performance. I am blessed [for all the] love,” she concludes.

I kinda agree with her. Gashmeer is still fine. I don't know if he is a professional dancer or not but he is a good one. But I don't understand what is Gunjan and Nishant doing in the show. 🤔

Toh na karo participate.. kisi ne gun rakhi gai kya..and gashmeer and gunjan are putting an effort too and working as hard as anyone else can when has ever they taken it for granted... faltu ka dusron pe attack karna to play victim ans sympathy yeh chahte hain mehnat bhi na karni pade and rang bhi chokha aaye Bhak

And yeah bas GM hi dikhta hai inko ca uske naam se footage leni hai and jalne ki boo is rsal..nishant must be a newbie or ammu..bur bur again niti ji aap galat show.main aayi hai this is dancing with the stars doesn't matter what level.of dance they know.. that is the whole point of the show.. agar itna takleef hai kisi ke higher skill level.se toh beginner round jaayein ya ma participate karein you can't have ir both ways..competition ke bina hi jeetna hai toh gahar main Mummy papa ko bolo khareed dein

I mean, professional dancers have always been contestants on JDJ, this is nothing new. Lowkey, I think that even though Gunjan is a pro, she's still strongest in her dominant style and also she's a child... You can also say the same thing about Amruta, who's trained in semi-classical.

I don't know what Nishant is doing here though, Salman at least made sense (winning choreographer/actor).

Well, tab to har reality show unfair ho jaega. Aise, to reality show K contestants like roadies ,splitsvilla or bb other versions shouldn't participate in bigg boss because unke pass upper hand hai ya an athlete shouldn't participate in KKK or an already popular contestant like her shouldn't participate in any show whose winner will be decided by votes because jo less popular hai unke sath bhi to unfair hua na fir. Jeette to akhir popular ones hi hai in most of the reality shows including jhalak where most of the winners are non dancers on the basis of votes and popularity over good and professional dancers . Lauren didn't win but Drashti won when Lauren was the best dancer in that season. I like Niti but her statement does not suit here. Gashmeer and Gunjan are also working hard. and Amruta got out before Niti who was a better dancer . To ye Bolne ka koi sense nhi banta 😆
