Today was epi 27. And they brought in Soha only to increase the number of episodes and did they really have to make her evil? That is such unnecessary development. Ayesha could have been shown to feel insecure simply seeing Basit and Soha together and the rest would have been between Ayet to solve. Soha actively trying to break them up is too much.

As someone had said earlier, was the course she went to study really that bad?!

There was one show I binge-watched last week though which was really good. Not romantic in the Habs sense but great plot. Laapata. I really enjoyed it.

Well maybe gaining fame for boycotting an assumed abuser (cause he hasn't been proven guilty as of yet) is more important to him than the success of his debut directorial... Seriously these people... I'm not saying Feroze is a saint or anything but whether they want it or not he's the reason why this show is a success and no one has the right to snatch that away from him...

Also the case is pretty blurry. People who have seen FK with his wife till only a short while back were all praise. This is a legal matter now and both parties are acting pretty toxic tbh like in any divorce case that reaches the court. Like even in the Amber Heard vs Johnny Depp case, I felt like both of them were very toxic. Not much to choose between the two.

And I totally agree that when the court is deciding the matter, then things are being done to address the issue, right? It is not like nothing is being done about it. Instead of dissing a member of his cast and all this me, mine, etc, he could have just remained silent and focused on getting this show out. He is of course free to feel and say whatever he wanted after that. The way things stand now, he has himself ruined his debut directorial project.

I hvnt watched the episode yet but seems ppl think the same as we do... this is what we are discussing... ppl think the same... episodes are dragged and feroze's screen time is reduced for personal grudge

I hope MM learns from this and next time keep his personal and professional interests separate...

Actually the court case is about custody of the children. Generally, custody in Pakistan for minors is naturally granted to the mother. Here FK brought a case for the custody of the children which is why it went to court. The domestic violence accusations have not been brought as a case against FK. It is part of his wife's case to justify why the custody should not be granted to her husband. Also I think this is why the money that FK is willing to pay as claimed by the wife's lawyer for the upkeep of the children is so low. FK's lawyer has challenged them to bring a charge of dv against his client and asked why haven't they done so.

The social media trial is a different matter.

Exactly!!! I mean there can be well-done angst. Like haven't they learnt anything from the success of kdramas!?!

They could have turned Zoya-Amir's story into something mischievous and funny. Like Zoya being rude to her in-laws and Amir being driven up the wall between his mum and his wifey. Bano's track could have been like the successful career woman finding love in a man who appreciates her for what she is and can take on the challenge that is her mother. And Ayet could have been seen struggling against their own inner demons and winning.

Very true... MM's inexperience really derailed the project. The way the cast is dividing up the share of attention the show is getting is simply embarrassing. Musaddiq claiming he is the reason why Habs is being watched, Bano claiming she is why people are watching the show while there are the FK fans saying they watch only for FK...like whaat?! IS this how you worked as a team? The fallout really shows that in the industry everyone is on their own. Even if you think FK is a bad husband, does that make him a bad actor? It is undeniable that Basit is an exquisitely performed character. Who gets to see such nuanced performance of a male character? Some of the best moments in this show are the scenes of Basit and his mother. Heart-wrenching those scenes were. And now they have literally cut out Basit's side of the story. You rarely get to see him alone, thinking over situations.

If we chose what we watch based on the actor's personal life I guess we wouldn't be watching anything at all 😂 Even if Feroz is proven to be a piece of shit in his personal life does that make him a less competent and talented actor? I don't think so... Habs, Khaani, Khuda aur mohabbat... There wasn't a single show he didn't do justice to his role... But if they really want to boycott their own drama, they can go ahead nobody's stopping them...
