In sab me, I actually feel bad for Ankush and more for Barkha.

An attempt to murder, playing with emotions, cheating and snatching property are lesser crimes than planning to snatch a "presumed/perceived" part of the property. That they are humiliated (rightfully), made to apologise to equal or worse perpetrators and have no say in the impending marriage.
