I just saw that & was like wtf

Not against saris but her wearing it right after marriage like she has to.change her essence and self is jarring to me

I mean Pakhi has 100 things to change about herself .. why focus on clothes

The problem is the subtle stereotype that media enforces directly or indirectly on masses.

Dressed in a certain way is representative of a certain behaviour pattern.

Like the long bindis represented vamps in the old K-serials.

Western outfits representing "modern, snobbish" women.

This, somewhere, influences us in real life too. Which is a sad reality.

Case in point, the famous airport encounter of Mrs.Sudha Murthy.

Very well said 👏

Lol yeah I'm glad someone pointed this out. They always pull this shit in these dramas. EVERY freakin' FL has to start wearing saris after marriage. Apparently this is a marriage requirement.

No one said that they don't, but that's not the point.

You know I had the exact same thought when I saw Pakhi's dresses after marriage.. All fancy blouses and matching and new sarees too.. Really there should be some sense in what they show
