More than dislike the trp audiences who are part of patriarchal society want to experience things they cannot in real life . They get the kick when they see FL as super women and one solving problems . ML are collateral damage . FL cannot shine if there is another strong character on the show .
movies are different the target audiences is mostly those mass crowd who wants to see the machoism on screen . There are movies which are an exception but in general movies showcase men as hero and serials women as hero and there can be only one hero . Women brings glamour and romance to movies and men do the same in serials . Things are changing but majority follow this pattern .
I get that they see themselves in the female lead and that's why they have to keep FL as a completely white character so women who are identifying with her, would feel that they are "right" and "pure".
I was wondering, why do they want horrible men for FL then? I don't understand this fetish with "changing a bad man". I was recently going through comment section of a show and saw that almost everyone wants the goody goody pure FL to end up with a goon because she can change him 𤣠that girl has an amazing, nice boyfriend and she loves him since childhood but they don't like it. They want her to be in an abusive relationship with a man who'll hurt her and when he does, they'll cry that channel and makers are toxic and it's everywhere, you know?
