So South Africa not only win big, but also will be table toppers at least for a short while. They hold a huge net run rate at the moment - remember they couldn't make the semi-final last year just due to the NRR? - and might well have made up for the washout against Zimbabwe. Action shifts to India vs Netherlands, as we bid you goodbye from here! Take care.

South Africa is under dog in this world cup

Very very strong team

They got huge margin of run rate now

They will be in semi final no doubt

Now it's us versus pakistan to fight for the spot 😆

It was always going to be one-sided after Rossouw and de Kock teed off at the start of the day. Bavuma's early loss turned out to be a blessing in disguise as the two southpaws smashed the Bangladeshi bowlers to all parts of the SCG. They didn't have a clue, the 22-minute rain break didn't help them one bit and they were left gasping for breath, as thye two batters smashed them all over the park. The last 5 overs came as a slight breather, but they were still left to chase down 206. They needed a big start, Soumya Sarkar promised one with a 17-run opening over off Kagiso Rabada, but that was as good as it got. Anrich Nortje's pace was too hot to handle and Shamsi helped himself to some confidence boosting wickets. Only 4 batters got to double digits and none could top Litton Das's 34.
