South Africa played their first game against Zimbabwe in which they were in a comfortable position to snatch the match but rain played a spoiler and the match went to no result in the end.

While bowling first, South Africa restricted Zimbabwe to 79 in 9 over contest where Lungi Ngidi grabbed 2/20 in 2 overs, and Parnell, Nortje scalped one wicket each.

Coming to bat second, South Africa was in driver's seat with 51 without a loss in just 3 overs on the scoreboard. They needed 28 runs in 30 balls but rain interrupted the show and the South African team left miserable.
