we could see Dev effected so badly by her absence, we could see him missing her so much, him wavering, we could feel his stance breaking, we could see his eyes getting to know abt his heart....
His that loong pause when she asked "aap tut ke yaad kyu karte hai" he had the answer... his eyes were telling it all...but he was creating the reasons for hiding that well known fact that he was havng while looking at her... but then avoids her eyes and then starts the rambling "Bak bak ki aadat"

But suddenly feel there is symbolism in Dev asking to taker Vidhi's seat yesterday.
Its like saying Dev didnt mind Arjun and Vidhi to be connected.
He will be distressed but may not see any reason why they cant be together, unless he finally realizes his feelings,
