It feels good to be back on India forums after a long, I think to be precise after 5-6 years, at the same time it feels weird to just barge into the forum to talk about the show, as I am not watching it much regularly, but still I am updated about the happenings in the show, thanks to few of my Insta friends, who are kind of addicted to this show. They wanted me to watch it, even though I am not much into Indian daily soaps and also, I didn’t have the patience to sit through whole 60-70 episodes, so they sent me a few clips and a few VMs, after which I went through the “episode discussion” thread here and Boy, it was so much fun than actually watching the episodes.

Coming to the concept, I kind of like it…I am always in for a mature love story, specifically “a loner male lead” falling in love after years of waiting, it's kind of interesting. As for characters, guess the writer solely 100% focused only on Dev, he is the only calm and composed character among all others. Other characters need more depth and growth gradually, I know as a character Vidhi, needs to be the innocent, naïve bholi girl but still a character she needs more self-analyzing moments, agreeing this is her first love, her first experience of falling in love and she is learning gradually but as an individual too, her character needs to grow stronger. In the future, Dev-Vidhi will need to be fighting out for their relationship, and she needs to be a strong companion for Dev, not just a damsel, who he always needs to babysit.

The girl’s character can retain her innocence and naivety along with growing up as a character, as it brings the charm of the difference b/w leads. So, the writer should ensure that it doesn’t turn Vidhi annoying, but make her bloom as a character who flourishes while experiencing first love.

As for performances, except for Iqbal, the rest of the cast is new to me, and they are good for first impressions. Have watched Iqbal’s works for long and he has been the finest actor to watch, it's great to see him all grown up as an actor, he has come a long way…had seen him first as a young boy, I think the movie (forgetting the name, it was that time travel movie, where he goes in 10thcentury). Iqbal’s acting and expressions are appropriate to his character. Heis convincible as Dev Raichand.

As a concept story has enough potential to transform into a fine love story, which will depict the reality of such couples with age differences. Also, I would like to see that drama doesn’t get unnecessarily dragged killing the basic charm & essence of the love story.

Good luck to people following the show and hope it entertains everyone till the end and it gets interesting and sweeter as the story unfolds.

Aaj suraj kahan se nikla, Dev babu ko hui jalan, cabin mein bada gussa hue Ms. Vidhi pe. Bahar ate vidhi ko kisi aur ke saath ek min bhi dekh na paye. Jab arjun chocolate khila rha tha vidhi ko, dev achanak se prakat hue, i was like damn, yeh vidhi ko chup ke dekh rhe the kya? 😲🤣
