Now Basit thinks Ayesha is cute, we have seen that already. That scene in the car when they were returning from Ayesha's mum's. Or when he found her reading that book on the couch. But he also had that intense hungry (for the lack of a better word!) look in ep 13 when he had turned off the light and was just looking at Ayesha lying there with her back to her. So I think what has been stopping him is the thought that she might not be willing or that by coming close to her he will give her false hopes. But now I guess, he will think that he needs to demonstrate his desire for her as part of the process of convincing her of his commitment to her. I am very eager to see how he does that because I myself am hitting a wall in this matter. In Habs so far the progress of their emotions towards each other has been built up so slowly and so logically that I am hoping the show will continue in this way. But then how will Basit make that leap from polite interest to izhar-e-mohabbat?!

Episode 13 was such a treat for us viewers!! You’re absolutely right, Basit was so nervous, he kept looking at Ayesha and it seems like he didn’t even know whether he wanted to lie down beside her or flee the room. I felt that he was waiting for some sign from her. But then when she asked him to stay in the room with the excuse that she didn’t want anybody to raise questions on their relationship, he immediately settled down beside her. He did look at her with hunger in his eyes though 😆 I kept wondering what was his thought process then? Would you be able to decipher what was he probably thinking about? It did look like attraction. I’ve always found Basit to be softer, more open and loving at night instead of during the day where he dons the persona of a powerful, in control businessman.

I think if Ayesha were to wear something slinky, Basit would blush and be appreciative in equal parts. Do you think these guys have ever even kissed or made out?

Yes, Basit will probably ask Ayesha or even gift her something once they become man and wife in the true sense. I’m assuming some days he would give her his credit card and ask her to buy something for herself despite her reluctance. He would then be waiting eagerly in his office for the notification of his card being used ☺️

And yes, Basit does find Ayesha cute! You rightly mentioned the episode numbers. I wonder if he’s fascinated by her dimples?

I think the reason that Basit hasn’t initiated any form of intimacy is because he’s never gotten around to it. His trauma obviously plays a huge part and I assume he never even realised the depth of his feelings for Ayesha before the entire MU, which is why she feels so unappreciated. I don’t think it had anything to do with Ayesha getting comfortable, he’s never given her needs enough thought but I’m hoping that changes now.

As for Basit demonstrating his desire for Ayesha, I think it would start with smaller touches, such as caressing her hair, tucking her hair behind her ear, perhaps keeping his arm around her waist and guiding her when they’re walking, staring deeply into her eyes and then a forehead kiss. I think once Ayesha displays her comfort with these smaller steps, Basit would proceed to give her a full blown kiss and then get on with other things. 😳

Absolutely right! The show just started focusing on a lot of negatives instead of balancing it with positives. For instance, Zoya, her in laws, Qudsia and Soha- none of these characters leave you with feeling content. Whereas Bano and Fahad are such positive characters and so much could have been done with them.

As for the pool scene, I am really excited for it!! ☺️ I hope we get to see full blown romance in that sequence. I thought the rose petals in the pool were just for show but I hope you’re right. What other things do you reckon Basit will do in order to woo Ayesha? ❤️

I'd told you am getting a bad feeling about Bano and Fahad's track. There are only 8 episodes left and there is no development in that quarter. I know we should be happy seeing Bano finding success in her career but that girl literally tried to kill herself for love. Deep within she wants to be loved. It would be incredibly unfair if they rushed Bano and Fahad’s track or worse if Bano doesn’t get her love. I mean she more than anybody in the show is shown to be yearning for it deep down. Every time she sees Ayesha or Zoya being loved, there is a look in her eyes demonstrating how much she wishes the same for her whilst being happy for her sisters. She is such a sweet and sensible character. Even Fahad who has stood by Basit and Ayesha in good and bad times deserves to get someone like Bano. I believe the next episode will make it all clear whether Bano and Fahad are happening or not. It is clear that Fahad will go to Basit’s office, so let us see if we get to witness Bano and Fahad interact.

Seven episodes left now and let’s just hope that all the yearning and crying alone gets done by the next one or two episodes, after which Basit brings Ayesha home. Although it is very hard to not see them together and I was hoping he drags her back in the next episode itself but I doubt that would happen.

Basit more than anybody needs to first decide what he wants and then go for it. He’s been sending mixed signals to Ayesha ever since he got discharged from the hospital and now that Ayesha has lost all hope, the ball is in his court. Soha will obviously now be a major factor and we can only hope that she influences Basit in a positive way and we get to see a loyal husband shunning any unwanted attention. It would be very hypocritical of Basit, if he keeps on entertaining Soha while he doubted Ayesha for the same reason although the surrounding circumstances are very different where Ayesha could be given a benefit of doubt and Basit cannot (what with Soha being his ex-fiancée). One can only hope that the makers have dealt with this track sensibly and not drag it because Soha as a character is very annoying especially when we’re on the brink of Ayet confessing or at least reconciling.

Oh gawd!!!! Yes...that moment, we read it in so many different ways at the time on the forum. 😆I remember your comment on the difference in Basit between night and day. I really think the attraction was always there but the difference in status, then being her boss at the office, and then later his own reservations about marriage and a wife had kept him in denial. Otherwise, that first moment when he laid eyes on her...that was one intense scene!

We did think that Basit had kissed Ayesha the night before the breakfast scene in ep 18. But now when I rewatch that scene I feel that was not what made for the awkwardness in that scene. I feel now that Ayesha had deliberately dressed up before breakfast and was hoping Basit would notice, maybe finally pay her the compliment that she secretly desires to hear (the one she saw in her dream when he tells her "you are looking beautiful")...but instead he leaves her hanging and she ends up being disappointed. Of course she will think he has never liked her.

Basit waiting eagerly for his bank notification is such a sweet idea...I wish you would write these ideas you keep sharing into a full-blown story! I want to see him look at her like he is lost in her beauty. I want him to bury his face in her hair. I want him to act on the hunger that lies in his eyes when he looks at her. 😆

And it is very true about not getting round to it...there have always been things that have come up which have created distance rather than bringing them together. But I want to give him the benefit of doubt in this matter and think that perhaps with matters of physical intimacy, he has that much sensibility that he would take into consideration the idea that Ayesha might not be ready without getting to know him first. But in other things, the small everyday things he is remarkably insensitive and ignorant of Ayesha's needs. And hopefully that will change.

Aaaand I love the way you describe their growing intimacy...yes, that would exactly be it! So innocent that would be and so romantic too...

Seriously, the best thing about Bano is that her own despair does not stop her from being happy for her sisters. I really want Bano and Fahad to happen but am getting a bit antsy what with the episodes trickling out and with no development on that matter. Though perhaps we can say that Bano has been to Fahad's place and has met his mother. His mother probably has formed a good impression of her. So there can be one thing which is Fahad's mother decides to come to Qudsia for Bano's rishta. We have seen that she is interested in getting Fahad married off. She also likes Ayesha and so will obviously find Bano to be quite suitable for Fahad.

Yesss...please let the pining finish in the next 2 weeks and Ayesha back in the house by the end of next week. Tomorrow I think Basit will make some big changes and come halfway to some big realisations. Earlier while watching the OST I would think Basit was crying for his dad or mom but now I think he will be crying for Ayesha. He will actually miss her to the point where he sets aside his hesitation and goes to Ayesha's place.

Basit had been hoping to get Ayesha back without bending. But this time having been thrown out of his house that easily, Ayesha has lost all faith in their marriage. She fears that her place in Basit's life is so unstable where she could be cast out at any moment he decides he wants nothing more to do with her.

It would be nice to see Basit drawing the line with Soha. I hope we will get to see him do that instead of acting all wishy washy. And yesss...the fun in the Soha track would be if it riles up Ayesha and at the same time has Basit running to prove his commitment to his wife. Let the angst be filled with positive feels

So the next episode will have Basit return to his work and normal routine. Yet he will be thinking of Ayesha. He will ask Bano about Ayesha. Meanwhile, perhaps we shall get some insight into Soha's intentions. Then there is the house crisis for the Sadiq family. Perhaps Basit will find out about it somehow and help out. I think this episode will be mostly about Basit realising that even if he is busy at work, he still cannot forget the absence of Ayesha in his life.

I can’t help but agree with Hassan! I mean the double episodes were so promising and the sudden lack of Ayesha and Basit was such a downer. There’s a collective feeling of disappointment.

So true about Bano! Fahad and Bano may just be done hastily. Yes, one of the ways could be Fahad’s mother taking her son’s rishta for Bano. However, Qudsia will definitely have a problem as Bano is the sole earning member of the family. However, this time she’ll have a man who’ll stand by her. Moreover, I would like to see the sisters unite and take a stand against Qudsia, that woman has been nothing but downright selfish and hurtful in her quest for money. In fact, I feel that Talal was never the right man for Bano, she deserves so much better.

You’re right about the next episode. I also have a feeling that Basit will be enquiring about Ayesha from Bano, we’ll see him yearning for her but perhaps not take any active steps to apologise, clear the MU and take her back. Basit’s attempts till now have been halfhearted. The situation is becoming serious and there is a dire need for Basit to have a face to face conversation with Ayesha, a measly phone call won’t do anymore. He has been hoping that somehow Ayesha returns back without him having to apologise for his actions but that won’t happen. In fact, I feel that Basit throwing Ayesha out, the way he did, has perhaps incited abandonment issues in Ayesha where she would feel the constant insecurity of Basit throwing her out of “his” house at the slightest mishap. I don’t know how will she come to trust him again, Basit isn’t exactly articulate about his feelings. If Ayesha gets to witness Basit smiling around Soha, this insecurity would worsen. I hope that isn’t the case.

As for Soha, she would be dancing around Basit and her intentions don’t exactly seem good. I mean what is the meaning of reminding a married man about a broken engagement. She may also be involved in some financial conundrum and wanting Basit’s money for the same. What would happen if Soha tries to approach Ayesha? And how would she do that? Also I would love to see Soha go on about their broken engagement and Basit being lost in Ayesha’s thoughts. 😆

I would love for Basit to prove to Ayesha this time that he belongs to her and only her. We’re about to witness an angsty Ayesha for sure. The ost does have some scenes of Basit crying. The situation has to be really bad for him to shed tears. I hope they don’t literally take us to the brink of divorce, that would be catastrophic.

I'm a newbie to the forum and literally in love with Habs and Feroz Khan (honestly speaking I'm drooling over him) 🤣🤤 I've been reading the comments on this thread for quite a long time before finally signing up to the forum and you've always made me laugh and have a great time. I can't even describe how much I love Habs though I'm a bit annoyed with the previous episode. I just hope the writers wrap up the misunderstanding thing nicely and smoothly and finally bring Ayesha and Basit together. ❤️
