Could Dev handle Vidhi's feelings towards him in a better way?

Mera take ye hai ki he is too uncomfortable when a woman approaches him in that way be it Amba and now vidhi. He doesn't seem to know what to do in such situations and thus remains mum, leading to confusions first Amba and now Vidhi.

Yaar what I think ki in any age gap love story there is a generation gap.. Like love has different meaning for dev and vidhi.. And dev being mature one and elder one do not want to hurt vidhi. But aaj ka precap dekhne k baad mujhe dev hi sahi laga ki usne aisa feel kiya ki ab bahut ho raha hai to usne vidhi ko clear mna kiya... Nd agar hum ab tak ki story dekhein to dev ne kabhi bhi vidhi ko aisa koi hint nhi diya ki uske mann mein vidhi k liye kuch feelings hain.. Like coffee date bhi kuch nhi... Office mein bhi kuch nhi... Vo uske ghar uski shaadi mein involve hua vo bhi uske parents k liye... Nd yahan pe bhi vidhi ko samaj jana chahiye ki agar koi aapki shaadi kisi dusre se krwa rha hai to that means usko aap mein koi interest nhi hai... Nd rahi sagayi todne ki baat to vo dev kisi k liye bhi krta jo uska nature hai.. Usne koi apne pyar k liye sagayi nhi rukwayi... Ladka hi galat tha... Suppose agar ye NRI theek hota to vidhi ki engagement ho gyi hoti... Nd ab bhi vidhi nhi sudhar rahi to dev finally usko clear hi kr rha hai.. Pehle usne socha hoga ki chalo koi ni iski sagayi ho jaye ye bhool jayegi mujhe... I think dev ne ab tak bahut mature way mein handle kiya hai.. Nd vidhi ki age mein har koi aise fantasy world mein chala jata hai.. Har gesture ka meaning pyar hi nikalta hai... I think its high time ki vidhi thoda mature way mein behave kre..

now i am back... and a long reply ahead.

my answer would be.. not to confuse her as simple as that.

whatever he feels.. he should just put in words. i feel he is scared not abt hurting her but more abt her ignoring him if he says no to her in clear words. She wont pursue him like Amba ke na bola fir bhi peeche padi rahegi.

The day she gets his NO she will step back no matter how much painful it will be. And as she has so much feelings for him.. she will try her best to stay away from his eyes.. his vicinity and thats scaring him the most. its not her getting hurt but him not being able to have her around him.

He has found a confident after so long and he doesnt want to risk that thing but at same time i want him to just tell her what he feels (no matter what it is).

Him saying i dont want to hurt her.. is so childish.

okay you wont hurt her but are you the only men or only human being in this world.. wont she meet more men in world and they will hurt her too... so if getitng hurt us her destiny she will have to face it.. by you or by someon3 else. But you cant keep her crush getting stronger in the name of not wanting to hurt her.

And now Whatever you did it.. it was not in name of Love and she is taking it wrong way i agree then whats wrong in clarifying it in black n white...kiski misunderstanding ko clear karna to sabse badi baat hoti hai na (if you say you dont love her)

matlab kisi ke haath me gangrene hai.. to use operation kar ke cut karne se patient to hurt hoga bolke doctor us gangrene ko body me rahne nahi de sakte na.. IT HAD TO BE CUT for that person's life.

Like @carljung said, as per the show's depiction, Dev ko ladkiyo ko handle karna nahin aata. Amba ko stringent Naa bolne mein 15 saal laga diya jisse woh pasand bhi nahin karta thha. Like @Geeta06 said, Vidhi ke kisse ko toh ek mahina nahin hua hai, aur abhi khul ke bolna start toh kiya hai Dev ne precap mein. Huge improvement! (Sarcasm thha)

But yeh show ka depiction hai. Doesn't mean its right like @TellyAddict said. Amba ko 15 saal pehle saaf saaf keh deta toh itna drama nahin hota, show aage nahin badhta, isiliye show ke liye aisa ghumaya hai iss situation ko. Same with Vidhi's situation, directly Naa bolta toh itna drama nahin hota, alag alag dono ko kitna din dekhte audience. Toh drama ke liye aisa kiya story mein.
