How is Ranveer getting all awards this year?

83 flopped. It got mixed reviews. Ranveer did work hard for it but how come he is getting all awards be it Filmfare, SIMA, Indian of the year and now some Maharashtrian award too?

What iconic or influential work has he done this year to get so many awards?

I like him and his potential as an actor but honestly he has done nothing of such note this or last year to get so many awards.

Is there such dearth of stars and good work in BW that they are giving awards like prasad to RS for a lacklustre year?

I liked 83 and his performance

I know it flopped

Ranveer has more followers than a Vicky or Sid by a large margin so maybe that influences the decision making

Throw the money, get the award.

I am honestly sad why Sid has got nothing for Shershah and Vicky is also getting less for Sardar Udham.

Isn't it what most celebs do...pay for it?

Maybe he adopted SRK's route which he used to do in 90s ?

but I am doubtful, he does not seem that cunning and manipulative unlike him.

So most probably on merit, as there was hardly any competition due to a handful of releases.

ps; I have not seen Shershah or Udham Singh, so don't know. Saw 83 though and RS was good in it, so just based on my limited exposure.

He has all media outlets with him-The bosses adore him and tweet about him..He is such an entertainer..everyone wants him to be on their show..gain TRPs,and I am sure give good press.

He got Maharashtra pride award..was invited to Ganesha Pooja.

Kjo pays Himesh,samosa,PV,BOI etc.Ranveers ambitions are bigger.He is getting very good response from overseas too.

He works very hard..is covering all his bases.Big directors have on record wished to work with in the last 2 months
