IBF COMPLAIN AND TREND AGAINST BIGAMY

I am opening a thread for this....hope no one is offended

For me bigamy is the cheapest plot in itv and its clearly stated in IBF guidelines that glorification of bigamy and son preference (chirag talks) violates the rules and regulations...not only ghum a many other shows to glorify it...whatever the pretext may be...an IPS officer running behind two woman looks cheap and its violation of laws and its glorification....

From story point of view either stick him with one rather than making characterless one....

More than new ml I think people must raise voice against bigamy...

I didn't wanted to make a negative post...but I can't tolerate these type of nonsense...

Another one thing to be noted is that a person who is responsible to ensure smooth functioning of law himself is doing illegal activities and no one is calling out and it is done in a politician's house....normally people will be calling out in next day's newspaper....atleast show divorce that showing two wives ...

Polygamy is both prohibited and illegal, both under the Indian Law and as per the Hindu Marriage Act. The bigamy law applicable to Hindus, Jains, Buddhists ,Sikhs,Parsis,Christians [except Muslims].

Now, it's illegal for a Hindu to marry more than one person or keeping two spouses at the same time

So if they want to show multiple marriages, they shouldn't show families belonging to Hindu religion.

STAR PLUS and other ITV channels are deliberately hurting the religious sentiments by showing ML married to two people at the same time without divorcing in their shows, no matter how much larger than life they are.

Bigamy is one of the ground to seek divorce under Hindu Marriage Act 1955.

Hmm, but these plots gain TRP. In Udaariya when Fateh's EMA with Jasmine and it's exposure happened, drama ensued and that show got the highest TRPs it never got before or after that. After that when he chose Tejo, the curiosity about whom he will choose and related angst ended, along with TRP. Till the time, Virat is a flipper, audience remain on guessing what would happen, reason why they show SaiRat in one, ViRakhi in another episode. Once he chooses either, that curiosity/ X factor will go. Actually, nothing but this confusion, triangle and bigamy work for ITV.

I understand but bigamy and its glorification is against the law...we should put forward our concerns as responsible citizens....

These stupid plots are working only because they don't have any good content

Imo if you write up a short draft of the complaint and post it here, I'm sure there will be interested people who can use that draft and file a complaint. People often dont raise a complaint because they feel koi faayda nahi or because they dont have the time to draft a complaint themselves. Koi faayda nahi waala reason is true to some degree but that doesnt mean we shouldnt air our displeasure. Time constraint is valid. so to make it easy- if you post a draft, interested people can easily chipkao it and there will be a mass complaint that way. atleast it will be noticed and force the channel to give a response if its a mass complaint.

The show ghum hai kisikey pyaar meiin aired by starplus has shown an IPS officer as a bigamist which is strictly against laws....he concluded himself that his wife is dead without proper investigation while she was working as a doctor ,even bought land..i.e she was alive in laws eyes and her husband married another lady and illegally adopted a child and its also shown that the family too approves this marriage....an IPS officer is expected to be an enforcer of law so according to law he is expected to divorce his first wife or call out his second marriage as illegal...Glorification of bigamy that too by family of politicians and ips officer is sending wrong message to public otherwise show the police department is taking strict actions against him....earlier too he had committed many crimes with the power of his uniform...the character IPS virat chavan deserves dismissal from service ..

Sorry for being a killjoy. Bigamy won't be even considered as a complaint. You will get a response saying this is larger-than-life fiction. Sorry I don't want to be a spoilsport but this doesn't stand as a complaint in IBF
