Channeling KJo, if someone asked me to choose between my kids and my passion, I'd pick my kids any time. Not even a question.
However, on a regular day, a parent has to make time for himself/herself. You're not just mom or dad. You're an individual. So little beta/bitiya can play with toys for a bit or get bored while you watch a movie, hang out with friends, go bungee jumping, write the next chapter of your book, whatever.
