He is not the sole writer for the series though. More like a co-writer. Writing for series is also tricky because writers get credited per episode. You won't have one writer helming every episode. Also, there's a difference between a writer (story by credit) and a writer (script wise). Story by, is not a full fledged writing credit. The makers incorporate the writer's ideas into the script but the episode is not credited to them. Naturally, there is always a writers crew for any series. There's too many technicalities involved. So it's not right to call this venture his sole project. Here, he is already co-writing with the Bard of Blood writer.

For all we know, he could just be one of the writers for the Amazon series with not a lot of weightage.

There hasn’t been a lot of criticism of Salman for launching Nutan’s granddaughter or Sunil Shetty’s daughter. He was criticized for launching Sooraj Pancholi but that’s due to Pancholi’s criminal record. Nadiadwala didn’t get criticized for launching Sunil Shetty’s other kid. Deol’s next grandson will be debuting with Poonam Dhilon’s daughter and I doubt they’ll cause a lot of hoopla either, unless their movie becomes a hit.

Kjo’s problem is his own aggressive marketing. His protégés get photographed and put out on display for 2-3 years before their debut (when is Shanaya’s movie starting again? 🤨) There’s also his reputation of sabotaging others in favor of his own actors/actresses. And since he himself is a well known high profile personality all his actions will get much stronger reactions.

Aryan will get the nepotism criticism and he should. He’s having a very easy launch as a writer only and only because he’s SRK’s son. But he’s not acting in it (assuming, I haven’t read the article yet) so he will not be as visible as those who will be acting. There’s also some sympathy factor for him and his parents because of what they went through last year. A few years ago when Suhana got the Vogue cover both her and her dad were raked over the coals, and frankly they deserved it. Aryan and SRK will again deserve whatever nepotism pushbacks they get here, but they might not get as much because Aryan will be behind the scenes mostly.

Aryan became very high profile after his arrest last year. Not to bring up that discussion but the subsequent criticism of how the investigation and arrest was handled, the pouring of support and sympathy for him, and the main investigator becoming a subject of investigation himself and … voila, Aryan Khan became a well known face and name with a lot of support and goodwill attached to him. Plus he’s young and good looking which only helps. Again, being SRK’s son was an asset here no doubt, but I can totally see a brand like Adidas wanting his face and name based on all the attention he’s been getting due to his legal drama, which again was resolved very well for him.

Yes. I think it's safe to start on slow and then build his way through. OTT is def the right stage to see if he could handle movies. I'm against nepotism and am very vocal about it but I don't want to rain down on any artist if they possess genuine talent. Let's see how if fares. If he does bad and still gets praised and given opportunities, then I'll land on him like a ton of bricks on this forum 😆

Will Aryan bring back the glory of writers in Bollywood. Will the age of superstar writers come back. Will we see fan wars over writers. So many questions.
