Aishwarya Rai takes a dig at Alia Bhatt. Is Ash jealous of Alia?

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Aishwarya said that opportunities are laid on her lap. “I have said this to her also, ‘it’s fantastic for you'. The kind of support Karan has given to her from the beginning, and to have that kind of an establishment with you is very comforting because you know it is not tough. You can have it all laid out for the longest time. And she smiled. It's great where you as an actor know there are only good opportunities ahead.” She further added that "But what's nice is she is also doing good work, along with great opportunities which are virtually there literally on her lap, regularly."

Has Aishwarya forgotten that she was a struggling actress desperate for movies until she started dated Salman Khan. All her movies from 1999-2002 (HDDCS, Josh, Dhai Akshar Prem Ke, Albela, Devdas, Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam) were directed/produced by Salman's friends. It's interesting how she was unknown in Bollywood until 1999 but as soon as she entered into a relationship with Salman, movies from his friends started falling into her lap.

Later, opportunities were laid literally on her lap regularly when she started dating Abhishek Bachchan and got Umrao Jaan, Buntu Aur Babli, Sarkar Raj, Dhoom 2, Guru, Jodha Akbar because of Bachchan connections.

It is very hypocritical of Aishwarya, a woman known for conveniently using her relationships to get movies, to attack Alia and take a rude dig at her.

Was she dating Salman when Raja Hindustani was being made ? I am sure being the women she is. She must have used some other relationship. Or this is just her PR at work trying to hide her jealousy

Yeah Ash was a struggling actress which is why she got offers from Yash Chopra, Karan Johar, Dharmesh Darshan even before joining BW. She was offered Raja Hindustani and Rani's role in KKHH. She declined them.

She was in demand right from that Pepsi ad days even before she won Miss World.

So much for claiming she got work due to Salman and Bachchans.

Next is what? Claiming she got global work or got to appear at Oprah show due to someone else? Salman got Oprah to invite Ash to her show? Bachchans or Salman got Aishwarya on TIME cover and in TIME100 list? Salman or Bachchans got Hello's international edition to vote Ash as most beautiful woman in the world? Bachchans or Salman got Ash to be first Indian to be juror at Cannes?

Yes, he did. It is just a coincidence that he has yet to ever sign Salman. I normally never comment to defend my favorite. But this post just expresses an alternative reality. 😆

If she actually said this, it’s not a good look. That’s like Rekha saying the same thing about Aishwarya. Aish and Alia have a 20 year age gap. Comes across mean spirited.

Aish is Aish because of her beauty, her films(in which she was irreplaceable)

AND most importantly her life, her struggles, how she never gave up and became the most famous Indian star with SRK in the world.Then she was welcomed with open arms by the same BW.I had posted her Dhoom2 posters. She took centre stage in all of them.HR was(is) a huge star.It is unimaginable today...Also her fairytale wedding/marriage, her daughter.EVERYTHING.

I myself find it very comforting to have Alia around..KJo,Himesh,,samosas everyone hyping her...when she can't dream of doing any roles her seniors have done.She is shown as the benchmark..and so the other actresses are busy doing their own thing.With the same actors, directors.. Everything is as it should be.
