Hi folks, lets hit it with the update for a mundane episode!
1. Rishi (Mr. Upholstrey) struggles between wife and mum
2. Rano does a Kajol in DDLJ
3. Bua is uncontrollable
The Khurana women promise one another to get Rano married within a week. Rano is not happy and talks about her confusion with Sohni. Sohni in her own usual upright way stands up for the righteous option and tells her that it is wiser for Rano to do what the family decides for her, especially if Gaurav has not come up with a fool proof plan. Rano is unconvinced and insists that she will wear only Gaurav's engagement ring (Vinaash Kale Vipreet Buddhi!)
Bua is uncontrollable and walks all around the house searching for Beeji. She asks Misri Kaki about Beeji's wherabouts and is told to look in the latter's room. Bua carries a suit meant for Kadhoo and sarees for his mum, and wants to ask for Beeji's opinion. Beeji agrees that they are ok and asks her to take Amrit's opnion too. To this Bua says "Oh! i want to take everyone's opinion but i cannot find anyone in this house". She irritates the guys who are putting up lights and decorations for the engagement.
Rishi and Simar are getting dressed for the engagement. Simar has a worried frown on her face and she grumbles to Rishi that Rano is not happy. Rishi, wearing a shirt with vertical stripes (it looks like some upholstrey design and so i decided to name him Mr. Upholstrey!) sighs and patiently tells her that if the elders have decided it must be good. To this Simar says maybe not! A spark of rebellion there. He then asks her to smile. Simar looks at Rishi and says "whats this, you cant wear this" (i agree for once). She goes to the closet and pulls out his patented "Nerolac dude" white shirt😡. Rishi, resigned to his fate is all set to turn into the wall hanging when Veera enters. She takes one look at Rishi's outfit and says "Whats this, you cant wear this" ( i agree again). She goes and pulls out a dark shirt and his tan jacket (Ms. Dedication, this is for you!). Rishi says he will wear the white shirt because it is Simar's choice. To this Veera cleverly tries to create a rift between them saying that a wife knows her husband only for a short time while the mother knows him forever blah! Simar quietly agrees and Veera leaves. Rishi asks Simar if she is feeling bad. To this our Bholi Bhali Simar says " Can anyone feel bad about mother's words"?
The dulha and family have arrived. Bua welcomes them with giggles. Sohni and Simar are fetching Rano who actually looks good in red. She remembers her engagement to Gaurav and stops midway on the staircase. All the people are stunned and the Khuranas wait for disaster. Sohni coaxes Rano to descend and slowly she comes face to face with Kadhoo Rohan. They are asked to exchange rings. To this Rano hesitates and Bua has to scold her. She puts out her left hand and her ring finger has a bandage. Rano does a Kajol in dilwale dulhaliya le jayange! She explains that she cut it while chopping veges (ring finger while chopping veges?). There is a general lull in the conversation and the elders ask Rohan to put the ring on to any finger. So the ring goes on to the little finger and Rano puts on Rohan's ring for him.
Sohni is angry with Rano and upstairs she advises her not to do such nautankis in future. Bua comes by and scolds Rano and pulls her hair and threatens to kill her etc. Veera, Amrit etc come upstairs and Veera promises that Rano's wedding with happen with great pomp and show. Sohni and Amrit take Bua away and Veera convinces Rano to hold on and that Gaurav is making arrangements. The camera freezes on Veera's scheming face.
Precap: Sohni and Amrit are at the bank and the manager i think tells them that their jewellery was taken by one of their own family members. They vociferously refuse to accept and the manager says"here she is". Bua is walking in with a bag loaded with jewellery boxes. What a greedy woman!
Performances and comments:
A lack lustre episode. The serial is dragging. Please creatives, do something more dramatic. I am bored even to pen the update!
Rishi looks harassed and tired! No good performances today to rave about.
