Please reconsider this. If you find that one member's requests are too frequent, you can ask that person to come back at a later date of your choosing. Whether the required cover use period is one month or three months, the Shop is always free to refuse any request, right? You are volunteers, and we aren't entitled to your work; you do it as a favour. You don't need a stronger rule to protect your inherent freedom.
Most of the book covers that the Shop produces get displayed for much longer than three months, naturally, because your Graphicers are talented and attentive to the requesters' specifications, and the requesters love what they get.
Many months ago, I received a cover for my romance that gave the impression of a horror story (bloody lips and grimy faces). Even today, that Graphicer is gratefully acknowledged in my story's thread (where the image can be seen) and on the title page. I am not criticizing her ability; she has given my other story a cover that I love, and this one cover just wasn't to my taste. I am thankful to the Shop that I was able to request a new cover after one month, not three months, and I would like other authors to have that flexibility too.
Recognition for Graphicers' work and relief from the nuisance of repeated requests will not improve significantly by stipulating a longer cover use period in the Guidelines, but it does discourage requesters who worry that their artistic creation, the story, will be stuck with someone else's discordant artistic vision of a cover.
I hope you will consider my feedback.
