New to the show... A doubt

I'm Niya🤗

And I've never watched Imlie before. I quite literally came across the show by accident, when I was switching channels and saw Megha Chakraborty on screen😆 and then I got to know that the current storyline is about the 2nd Generation.

I just wanted to know, do we have to watch the show from the beginning to know what's going on? Or do the 2nd Generation have a fresh, new storyline?

Hi Niya, welcome to the show and the forum.

No, you really don't need to watch the show from the beginning to be able to watch Gen 2. All you need to know is that Imlie's parents are dead and she has a jealous, manipulative half sister called Cheeni😆. The rest is more or less a typical love triangle drama with confusions and misunderstandings. Atharva and his family are all new characters so that isn't connected to the past generation in any way.

You must certainly watch the first part . Second is as good a new !!! and not that good. You must watch first part for Sumbul , Gashmeer , FAhmaan. There will be some bad episodes or depressing ones , you can FF those !! Sumbul is from 1st to last episode of season 1 , GAshmeer is there around 300+ episodes , 310 on is FAhmaan's entry.

Sr Imlie died just after jr imlie was born, then how come she knew about her character. She told all the positives about imlie and for cheeni wo bhi achi hai but...... Kisi ko bhi bura lagega. Upar se she's Malini's daughter😆

Cheeni bachpan me cute si normal skinned girl thi badi hokar sparkling white kaise hogayi😆 (skin whitening treatment kiya hoga)

Please dont watch Imlie 1 to watch Imlie 2 as Imlie 2 is Imlie 1 only but with new actors. Watch it with fresh perspective and enjoy the circus of forced marriage and bigamy (it really never happens too). The entire show rely on actor's capability to demonstrate their skills and rise above mediocre scripts.

The show does have a good look and feel, which is the USP and direction too is not bad as Director does as per script demands.

First 200 episodes of imlie are truly magical and beautiful to watch relive at any time. No episode after that has lived up. Frankly i am very disappointed with imlie s2 as well. Wahi forced marriage and 2 women 1 man phormula🤔

Everyone hopes for romance to happen, some even feel a hug may happen just any moment.... alas everything stops with a fire sequence or fight sequence or some hamper even in makeups.

My humble advise don't torture yourself with this show. It is a nonsense drama. Characters made positive negative just for trps. So this serial is harassment for sane people . But at last choice is yours.
